“Good stay at this hotel”
Reviewed December 8, 2013

Had a good stay at Silo glow. The staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay. The room was large and clean. only issue I had was the rather weak wifi signals I had. Best was the fitness centre which included a swimming pool which all guests could use. Enjoyed using the pool in the morning. Had it all to myself.

First off, I love the location. It is right off of the Chong Nonsi BRT station (exit and make a left at the 7-11 and it's a few blocks up). This is good to know for a first time visitor so you do not get lost or confused and can easily find your way back by simply taking the train or subway or telling a taxi "Chong Nonsi" As far as the hotel, it is spotlessly clean, comfortable and well appointed in terms of the room. The gym is in the building across the street -- great outdoor running track on the 9th floor but otherwise, the pool gym are just OK. The best reason to stay here is for the staff and location. The staff are simply wonderful, welcoming, friendly and courteous on every level. Please tip the staff well -- they work so hard and deserve it! The location is simply wonderful as a market and literally hundreds of choices for food and beverages (street food - the best!) are right outside your door. Feel free to message me with any questions. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was that WIFI was inconsistent and slow but this was partially due to problems in Bangkok in general and not the hotel's fault. The staff was very understanding but not having consistent WIFI is an inconvenience if you do not have a global plan in place. Overall, a great experience -- would not hesitate to stay again -- and above all, it's so much better than the "tourist" areas like Siam Square and the major streets in my opinion.

Great value for the price! Lots of street vendors with yummy food and a market right by hotel. 5 min walk to sky train station and about ten or 15 min walk to other sky train station and metro so very easy to get around!! Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful with directions. They provide you with map if you ask. Rooms are large and clean. The staff upgraded us since we didn't arrive til midnight which was very kind. Breakfast was good but no variety from day to day at the buffet. Would recommend to everyone !!

It has a good location next to the train bts (Chong nonsi) which you can catch to go to the shopping mall area and to the boats that will lead you to the palace. The rooms are good but the breakfast is nothing special.

We stayed just one night, but found this hotel well-appointed and the staff helpful. Centrally located, clean. What more can you ask for? They decor is a bit funky, but not bad at all. Would stay here next time I'm in Bangkok.

I spent 2 nights here because I needed somewhere a little more in the muk of it all as I usually stay at KT guest house when passing through Bangkok. The hotel is slick and stylish but very simple (K.I.S.S.). The rooms comfortable and clean with good amenities and everything functioned well. The staff were top notch with the exception of the the breakfast buffet servers. They don't seem to get that for a buffet service you clear plates from the tables as they are used. i had a mini mountain on one corner of mine. However the variety, and freshness of the food was excellent, and so I didn't mind. When I filled out the comment card at the end I had only one suggestion; they have to clean the black mould out of the grout in the shower. Crikey‎, such a simple thing to deal with but can really make ones skin crawl and black mould spores are bad for your health. Ok, so a few days exposed to it wont affect one, but still. Bed was comfy and a variety of pillow densities made finding the right one for your head easy. Sleep is probably the most important part of my stay in a room and I always carry a fancy inflatable stuffed one just in case. I didn't need it here ;) wifi is almost always good anywhere in the hotel so you can get things done but they seemed to have some restrictions. I wasn't able to use FaceTime nor download any torrents, and the media available was almost exclusively 24hour news channels + a movie channel, a fashion channel and MTV, What a bore; Pull out a book ;) One final note, the pool, which based on the description, was part of the hotel is actually located across the lane in a different building which kinda sucked, and i think the gym was also. I must also mention that just round the corner is an awesome restaurant Feuang Nara. Check it out!

Room Tip: Top floor, backside. Its a smoking level but they rarely use it for such and I couldn't detect a...
