Sathorn Grace boasts spotless, modern rooms that are fully equipped with kitchens and (if needed) in-suite laundry making it a perfect place for families. The rooftop pool has spectacular views of the surrounding city as does the adjoining, air conditioned fitness room with a flat screen tv. Pool changerooms also offer a modest sauna room. New management has improved the breakfast to a decent level, but the restaurant (room service especially) needs more attention. The bar/ restaurant lacks atmosphere and the outside seating area is largely unused. The lobby offers little space for congregation. To the trained eye (I am a former lifeguard) the pool also needs some attention to the chemicals/ vacuuming, though neither pose health risks. Sathorn Soi 11, where the residence is located offers good, local food options, but little else, making the need for a place to go even more important. Trains are a 10 min walk and the shuttle service runs intermittently. We will definitely stay there again (this is our 2nd time) and advise all to do the same.

Room Tip: Higher floors have better views.

Stayed here for two nights over CNY. (My husband and I could not find any rooms during CNY under $130, so we paid $80/ night at Sathorn Grace)

First night after we checked in, Ive noticed some flying bugs coming in from the window edge. In about 30min, there were hundreds of bugs filled our room flying all over the place. We called the reception. Staff came and told me there was no other room available. We asked for a refund. He said it was impossible. Then he gave us a one bedroom suite to stay. So we moved to the suite. I tried to take shower and found out there was no cold water which means the water was burning hot either from shower or sink. I called the front desk. They sent the tech giy to fix it.Then we relized that our foo turned literally black. My husband wiped the floor with a towel and the towel got so dirty it was black. The room has not been cleaned for a long time so there was so much dirt everywhere. The reception said not possible for cleaning since it was a night time. So my hisband ended up cleaning the room using our towel from the bathroom. We ran the washing machine. When the washing machine did a spin cycle while it is letting out the water, all of sudden the shower was letting out a lot of water. (???!?) The shower faucet was off. How can this be possible? Is the washing machine connected to the shower pipe??

There are big HERD of ants village living in this room. They mainly hangout on the sink, underneath the electric stove area making their route down following the molds in the living room. You can easily spot them. Big molded wall growing an growing.

Last day before checking out our washing machine would not open so we had to wait for awhile for a tech to come and open it for us.

There are more of tiring problems I had to encounter during my stay at Sathorn Grace. If it was $40 hotel, I wouldnt complaint so much. It is $80 and up for a night hotel. They should maintain it better than this.

If you are visiting Bangkok for the first time this location is middle of nowhere. 25 min walk to BTS and it is not even a pleasant walk. Dead roaches everywhere. Nothing to see/ dirty neighborhood. Do not stay here. You will regret. Go stay around terminal 21 or Siam Paragon area.

I stayed 1 night in Stadio which is cheapest room of this place on 5th Feb, for just checking for next time. They ask you 1000B for deposit.

Good: 10seconds walk to 7/11. Many street food in day time. High speed free wifi in everywhere. The room has many lights.

Bad: 15mins walk to Surasak station. Poor room cleaning(many hair on seat and floor). Poor TV chanels. Only 5 laying chairs by swimming pool which is not enough.

Before booking here, check other places well ! There are plenty of nice places than here.

We stayed here in December 2012 for 6 nights. We had a great stay, the apartment was brilliant. It had everything we needed and more. A kitchenette with cutlery, utensils, etc. Fab A/C, which was nice and quiet and worked instantly. Bathroom was great, with complimentary toiletries. The apartment was cleaned daily, which can be unusual for apartment hotles. There was a washing machine and drier for guest use on the second floor (though would advise not to waste your 10 Baht on the drier as it didnt really work!). Make sure you keep your 10b coins to use the washing machine though as needs 5 of them and the hotel didn't have any change. The pool on the rooftop was great, a little shallow, but nice to sit around with the city scape all around. (loungers and towels are provided) Location was good- a 7/11 right outside which is great for getting all you need, including meal to cook in the apartment (micro only). Good prices too. Some wonderful street food right outside as well. We reccommend the pancakes from the lady outside the 7/11. Really delicious and only 10 Baht. We had a great stay here and reccommended the hotel to our friends who were visiting Bangkok, who also had an enjoyable stay there this month. A 10 minute walk to the sky train, which has excellent connections across Bangkok. Highly reccommend the Chatuchak weekend market, well worth a visit. Take the sky train to Mo Chit. Try some delicious local foods there.
A wonderful week in Bangkok, would definitely stay at this hotel again.
