Please let me start by saying Ananatara Sathorn is good. Nice neat little apartment and great value for the price it charges. Staff is great, always friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help.

We stayed in a 2 bedrooms apartment. Apartment itself is ok but a little bit aged. Our apartment was not cleaned everyday (is it meant to be..? Not sure) - shower head was broken in the guest toilet. Guest bedroom was a little small.. but adequate and the bed itself was quite comfy. Aircon was loud though.

Location - far away from BTS and always traffic jam if travelling by taxis, but that's a norm in Bangkok I assume.

Berakfast - crowded! One morning we queued for 20 minutes to be seated. Not good... food choices were ok, not amazing but nice enough.

Cooking facilities in room - not in use anymore! We were not aware before we booked that cooking is not allowed in rooms anymore despite the rooms having cooking hobs......?

All in all a great stay, because of the nice staff, but the apartment itself could really do with a renovation/upgrading in room amenities.

Went to Bangkok last week with my family and chose to book a 2 bedroom suite with the hotel. Usually photos that's on the hotel website don't look like reality but I was pleasantly surprised when I reached the hotel. The lobby and the overall decor was classy and clean. The staff were extremely helpful and front desk counter allocated a room to us very quickly and without any hassle. (Some hotels take such a long time to find us rooms and I need to keep repeating my bookings.)

The 2 bedroom suite looked exactly as advertised. Large, clean and comfortable. Makes you look forward to coming back to your hotel room after walking around Bangkok for the entire day. Can't fault any part of the room. Did I mention even the room service was also very polite.

For those who likes to use the gym and exercise while on vacation, the gym is one of the best I've seen. Well equipped with various kind of machines and dumbbells (which are in very good condition), so you can still get a workout while you are on holidays.

One minor complain I have is the choice of food for the morning buffet. As the daily variety of food doesn't change, it tends to get boring after a while if you are staying for a week. Still, there's a large variety of food served at the buffet and overall food quality is good.

Some people mention that this hotel is not in a tourist area and the nearest station is about 10 minutes away, I see this as an advantage because it makes the overall area quieter and less crowded. There's this upscale grocery shop beside the hotel so you can grab supplies and fresh fruits or snacks easily.

Overall, I would definitely book this hotel again when I visit Bangkok !

Well done to Golf and all the other staff members who made our stay so pleasant !

After staying in some other areas of Asia and fitting in with the local culture and hotels, we splurged on a stay here and certainly wasn't disappointed.
Arriving here you felt like royalty with porters handling all your luggage. The reception staff were so helpful. We took the upgrade to the top floors and additional extras, which I would recommend. Our room was great, but the water in the shower was scolding and we couldn't turn it down so we were upgraded again for the inconvenience.
The lounge upstairs was great with soft drinks aplenty and then cocktails between certain hours and a buffet. One night we didn't even feel like eating out because of all the food and drink we had in the lounge. Breakfast up there was also excellent with stunning views of Bangkok and the skyline.
The Anantara was a little further from the tourist areas of Bangkok, so make sure you take a card with you to show the taxi drivers where it is, as there are two Anantara,s here! However, it also gives you a great opportunity to visit the metro and walk around the streets and see the real sights.

Me and my family had the pleasure of staying at the Anantara Sathorn, Bangkok, from July 7 to July 11. After checking in with some difficulties about which floor, we could stay on, We got a 2 room suite on the 29 th floor. The room's were spacies and very clean, and the view was breath taking. The breakfast buffet was very good, with a large variety of choices. The only thing, I would have changed, was the location, as I would have liked that to be even closer to the major atractions. But then again, I knew that when I booked the Hotel, and Taxi in Bangkok is very cheap. And also BST works fine to get around. Next time in Bangkok, we will return to Anantara Sathorn. Great hotel, and good value for money.

Room Tip: Get the higher floors, the views are outstanding

Three if us stayed here for business, in a two bedroom apartment. Clean, spacious, well furnished. Downside was one toilet blocked almost immediately, and once again during our 5 night stay.
Check in was great, lots of info provided, and all staff were always more than willing to help when needed. Restaurant staff exceptional, our glass was never empty. Signor Sassi restaurant on level 37 - superb.
Staff to help us with taxis were great (Shame about the drivers and the god-awful traffic!)
The major thing needing work here is the masseuses in the spa - worst massage experience I have EVER had. Despite me asking the girl at least 15 times to do it softer, she could not understand me. I was very close to walking out and should have done so! I was in agony for days. The fact that I paid a huge price for it annoyed love you further.
I would recommend this hotel to people who plan to taxi everywhere. The service really was great, nothing was too much trouble.

Stayed as a couple as our first stop in Asia we chose to upgrade ourselves to the club floor.
The Ksara floor benefits were plenty however the 500 THB quota for laundry per day was not worth it as we ended up paying double per day, the other benefits such as drinks and appetisers at cocktail hour was plenty... One thing I wish the Ksara lounge did was hell us with reservations and recommendations in the city. Most if the staff could barely help us and we had to keep calling the concierge or walking downstairs to get things sorted. The one bedroom suite was very spacious, beds were super comfortable, view was great and shower pressure and amenities were good too.
As for location... The hotel is located off a BTS (bus station) stop, it is just one stop .. Or a 10 minute walk from the hotel... This could be no big deal, bug if you have a lot of luggage and or strollers... It might be a big annoying in the summer months.

Staff were pleasant and the breakfast had plenty of options ... Western eggs, fruit, breads as well as Asian options.

Overall good hotel and I wouldn't hesitate staying here again.

We stayed at this hotel in early June. We had booked three 2 bedroom suites. On the last day of our stay there, when we returned in the night to the hotel, we found that the safe would not open with the password we had kept. It was really surprising as we have traveled and stayed at numerous hotels and have never faced this kind of situation. Our passports and wallets with money were inside the safe.

Anyway, we called the housekeeping and their technician opened it in minutes. However, upon checking, we found that there was some money missing, US dollars as well Indian Rupees. We were stunned..... and realized that our safe had been tampered with and that is why it would not open with the password we had kept.

We were 2 couples staying in that suite and money had been taken from both our wallets. On top of this, When we complained, the management was hardly of any help!! They kept behaving as if they could not understand English well. Imagine having clientele from all around the world and the staff not knowing English!!! In-fact they kept saying again and again that if we were not satisfied with their response, we could go to the police and file a complaint!!! By now it was clear that they had no intention to help us. We had been robbed............and there was nothing we could do.............

We were quite helpless as we had to leave early morning next day to catch our flight back home. It all seemed very well planned by their staff....robbed us on the last day our stay.....It was such a bad experience to end our otherwise wonderful Thailand trip!!!!

Will never ever stay at any Anantara Property again and will spread the word to caution other travellers too!!! Such dishonest and unfriendly staff......it was clearly our most horrible experience with any hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
