“Excellent value, wonderful staff!”
Reviewed February 9, 2011

Stayed in this hotel mainly because of the reviews here in TripAdvisor. One of the best deals I've gotten for a hotel!

Pros:
- Very affordable
- Spotlessly clean and well-maintained
- Really big beds. I think it can accommodate around 4 or 5 people. If I'm not wrong its 2 queen beds side by side.
- Spacious rooms and bath, complete with tasteful and modern decor, LCD TV
- Breakfast is good, you can choose the day before and there are fruits, bread and cereal as well to go with it. They give you 2 free bottles of water per day
- They offer airport pick up (you need to call and email them your flight details, even if its included in your booking notes in Agoda/Booking/etc)
- Staff from the driver to the front-desk, to the lady handling the breakfast to the cleaning ladies were all polite and helpful.
- I went there on my birthday and they even presented me a cake during breakfast. :) Nice attention to details, and this is the first time I have received this from a hotel.
- Easily accessible since its near one of the train stations (Wongwian Yai station)
- Free wifi - accessible across the whole hotel. This one is a godsend.

Cons:
- I'd have to admit its at the end of the train line, but at this price, I'm not complaining. It's less than 25 minutes away once you get yourself seated on the train. Add around 10 minutes of slow walk (it can be 5 minutes if you walk fast). I make it up by purchasing the 1-day pass if I know I'd probably be shuttling around often (need to bring home some stuff).
- Cable TV selections for English channels are lacking. If you don't understand Thai language, your choices are limited.

Overall:
- It's not perfect, may not be for everyone. If you need a swimming pool, gym, complete lineup of cable channels, in-house restaurant, spa, or if you prefer to be in the middle of all the action and in the city center and do not mind paying a good sum of money, look at the hotels near Siam / National Stadium / Sukhumvit area. This one will not cut it for you.
- If you are budget conscious and on the lookout for affordable options with exceptionally good quality (in terms of rooms and service), and do not mind being located some distance from the city, this hotel is a perfect candidate for your search.

we were on a budget but wanted to stay in a clean place, this was the right place: The staff is really nice and helpful (something very important for us) and the place looks (and IS) super clean. The price is very good too. About the location, i read a couple of reviews saying it was far from everything but i didnt feel it at all, u have the Skytrain really near which u can use to go to most of places, or get a taxi or tuk tuk (the tuk tuk was around 80~120 baths and 20-30' to/from most of the interesting places in Bangkok). It was our first time in Bangkok so riding tuktuks at night and the sky train during the day (to avoid traffic jams) was lot of fun!
Bangkok is really busy and its nice if ur room isnt in the middle of all that noise so the quiet location was definitely a plus for me.
About the rooms, are big, clean, and the shower works perfect.
if u are on a budget but dont wanna stay in a dirty hostel or busy backpackers place, this hotel is a good choice!
btw we ended up staying one more night cuz we felt good here :)

I booked this hotel according to recommendations on this site. It was OK, but I would not call it a hotel-the rooms did not feel like a hotel at all, a little bit on the small side. The staff is very nice and helpful, they give you free water (nice touch) when you're going out in the morning, the breakfast is amazing-not only is there a lot of stuff already there in the buffet, but they also prepare warm meals for you-wow, but that does not change the fact that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. There is a BTS station 10 minutes walk away, but in case you need to return with a taxi, the drivers are not too happy to go there (it is far away and costs only about 60-75 Baht so they cannot be bothered) and after a long day one is not in the mood to haggle too much. However, there are some great massage parlours around, 2 hour massage for only 220 Bahts, that is a great deal. Next time, though, I will pick a place closer to the centre.

We stayed at Bangkok Loft Inn for about five days and really enjoyed it. The staff are all lovely and helpful...especially the doorman who was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived home each day. We stayed in a Superior room was was a great size, with plenty of storage. Figuring out how to get breakfast was slightly confusing at first - you have to tell them at the desk the day before what you would like the next morning. It was yummy however, and we were happy just to have the fresh fruit and little mini croissants and doughnuts instead most days. A major bonus its close proximity to the Skytrain which was so easy to find and use. For some reason, a lot of taxi drivers didn't know where the hotel was which was a pain at first but eventually we told them just to go to Wongwian Yai station and that worked out fine. There is also not a lot to do around the hotel itself, we struggled to find something to eat one evening, but of course the plus is that it's not a touristy area at all so it just depends on personal preference.

We based our decision to stay here on the good reviews on TripAdvisor, and we're pleased to say it was well worth it.

We arrived in the wee hours of the morning, and the cab was booting 'er at about 130 km/h and it still took about 20 minutes to get there, but remember that the new airport is much more isolated than the old one, so don't be worried that the cabbie is taking you for a ride. A flat rate meter cost us 450 baht, and likely would have been a bit more with the meter on.

The hotel has clearly undergone some kind of renovation because just about everything is spotless. The wireless internet had a few dodgy moments in the late afternoon but worked really well, for the most part--well enough to call our families with Skype and still be clear. The people complaining about not enough English channels should sod off. You're supposed to be on vacation! Besides, the wireless was good enough to catch streaming tv, and the cable selection included about four football channels.

As others have said, the location is not central but the Skytrain isn't far away. It will take you all across the city easily enough. The hot water wasn't what you'd call "scalding", but it worked okay enough to cleanse yourself. Not much in the way of restaurants nearby, but a 60 baht cab ride will take you somewhere that has some.

For budget (read--cheap backpackers)-conscious travelers who don't worry about safety or bed-bugs, stick to Khao San road. The Loft Inn staff were amazingly helpful and courteous, and our piece of mind is worth a lot more than an extra 300 baht saved. From now on, we'll be coming back here any time we need a place to stay in Bangkok.

Me and my family stay for 3 nights in this home away from home. On arrival at Bangkok Airport the pick up was already waiting for us. The owner's daughter came personally to drove us to the hotel in her Honda Accord. During the trip we talked about the great shopping and good food we would want to try in Bangkok and casually mention that we particularly like the appetizer 'Meang Kam'. To our surprise the next morning there was 'Meang Kam besides the excellent breakfast in front of us. This is personal touch that you don't even get in a 5 star hotel. We really appreciate the little surprise madam. Besides the friendly staff the hotel is clean and tastefully decorated. The Loft Inn is our first choice on our next trip to Bangkok

We took a tuc-tuc from Khao San Rd abd the ride felt like we were going to the back of beyond. Turns out our Formula Tuc Tuc driver was avoiding the heavy city-centre traffic.

The hotel was bright, clean and welcoming.
The staff were very friendly and informative and couldn't do eniugh to ensure we had a good stay.

The Skytrain station five minutes away will bring you to the river to chnage on to a boat to take scenic journey up to the Grand Palace area. Or you can stay in the train to get off at Siam Sq for shopping Nirvana.

There is a 7-11 five minutes away in the opposite direction to stock up on goodies (no minibar).

The breakfast was also a plus point,

The only downside was that it was our last day of the holiday and we could only stay here one night!

Top hotel with great value-for-money.
