“We loved the Bangkok Loft Inn”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

We booked this lovely little hotel over 8 months in advance and straight away we received an email confirming our booking and arranging to collect us from the airport. And we thought this was very good management.
The hotel is quite small and personal which is lovely, the staff are so friendly and will bend over backwards to help you. There was one in particular a young girl who worked on reception who during a water fight ( sokram ) stopped and hailed us a taxi and told the driver where we wanted to go.....on the next day she was outside eating her dinner and offered us a can of beer each which we thought was lovely.
The breakfast is lovely we both had the large shrimps with salad, and there is plenty of other stuff on the buffet to help yourself to.
The room was very clean and the aircon worked well.
Many thanks to everyone at the Bangkok loft inn your amazing and anyone thinking of booking a room here go for it you wont regret it

Decided to stay at this hotel after doing some research on tripadvisor and was not let down one bit! Our flight arrived at 10am and we decided to be adventurous and take the City Line & Sky Train to the hotel. The owner had previously emailed me directions in doing so and it was soo easy..took about an hour.

The hotel is located near the last stop on the Siam Skytrain Line so you do have to take the Skytrain to get to any sightseeing spots. However, it is about 5 minutes to the Saphan Taskin stop which is where you catch the boats to get to any of the temples. (Highly recommend travel via the river especially during the hot season-it doesnt feel as hot when the breeze is in your face!)

The owner is extremely helpful! She pulled out a map and circled major points of interest and gave us instruction on getting there. She even set up an appointment for two foot massages at a place down the street. We got 10% off for staying at this hotel too. There aren't many places to eat near the hotel, just a couple street vendors so make sure to stock up on fruit to put in the fridge before returning!

The breakfast was delicious too! They rotate the fruit everyday, so you get to try new local fruits. Also, the air conditioning works really well which turned out to be one of my favorite things while traveling in Thailand!

My Partner and I stayed here in April, Superior room, lovely bathrooms, and we asked for a quiet room, which was overlooking the back, which was a nice view of a garden and local houses, and trees. This was the last leg of our 6 week trip around Thailand. The rooms were very clean, lovely decor, and the huge double bed very comfortable. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The Hotel manager and staff were all very courteous, The breakfast area was small, as in small tables and a little bit help yourself style, but for the price you pay overall it was good. No fresh coffee ! as I love my coffee in the mornings... Beautiful Orchids in reception and constant offerings to the guests of there local fruit, which was nice.
The down side is, in Bangkok, its off the beaten track, no restaurants in the area, other than local Thai street food. So its a 20 min taxi or sky train everywhere. After 3 nights stay, we had their free private taxi to the airport, which was clean and very well kept for a taxi, the driver was great, helped us with our cases at the airport etc....
Overall we loved the room and decor of this lovely hotel.

Room Tip: Superior Room on quiet back side.

This is the WORST hotel experience we've had in Thailand so far, and we have been here for 5 weeks and lived at 8 different hotels...
The hotel staff is very RUDE at this hotel....they dont understand english at all, which we normaly dont find as a problem BUT these people dont know how to comunicate. They actually talk bad about us in thai with eachother and laugh, even though we stand infront of them. We have read the good reviews and looked forward to spend our last week here, but as soon as we came we felt unwelcomed. We booked three days and they gave them away to somebody else! They also made us pay extra because we asked if we could check in earlier than two pm (9 am). The room was availble but they stil charged us, even though they understood that we had traveled 12 hours with a bus from Samui with a 1 year old baby!

I mean, dont get me wrong...the hotel is clean and the rooms are ok for the price but the rudeness makes me want to puke!WHY work in this buisness if you dont know how to behave?! The staff are not serviceminded at all. They dont listen, they dont pay attention. They dnt want to understand what we are trying to say. VERY RUDE

Air conditiner is btw very bad, actually not working at all! We will never come back here. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE hotel!

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights on a visit to Bangkok in April'13. We stayed in a Superior room which was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean and quite comfortable. The staff is courteous and helpful though communication could be a bit of an issue as most of the staff cannot converse in English. The staff was pretty helpful and provided us with detailed map of the city and of the hotel surroundings with details insitructions and guidance on the routes and suggested attractions which was quite useful for first timers like us. However they can get quite finicky about the check-out timings due to the rooms being always in demand owing to the connectivity of the location. All in all a place I would certainly recoomend!

The best thing about the Bangkok Loft Inn was that all the good things we had read about it were absolutely true! From arrival to departure, the staff were courteous, reliable and efficient. The double room was fantastic with a huge bed. Our room faced the back of the building and was very quiet. There was an excellent choice for breakfast and friendly service. On our first full day we got a tuk-tuk as far as the Grand Palace, after receiving helpful advice as to how much to pay. The Sky Train does not take you to everywhere you need to see, but getting a tuk-tuk is so simple, although getting back to the hotel involved showing the driver a map of where the hotel is situated. One useful recommendation they gave us was a new night market called Asiatique The Riverfront, which involved getting the Sky Train 2 stops to the Taksin Bridge and a free ferry down the river.
Altogether this was an excellent place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back.
