Description: Welcome to “Na Aroon” Restaurant at Ariyasomvilla Boutique Hotel and Spa. As you may be aware we try to produce a healthy but tasty cuisine. Our food is mainly vegetarian and we have an extensive range of seafood. We do not sell meat. We do not use MSG, food coloring, preservatives. We do use as much organic materials as we can and we try to ensure that we know the provenance of our food stuffs. We use good quality oil and properly fermented soy sauce. Please ask our staff for help on menu selection if you need assistance. Where as most of our vegetarian food is “mang sawirat” ( no killing) we can produce good tasty food for vegans and even “Jay” ( Chinese vegetarians). Please let us know if you eat eggs or not.Our western desserts are not quite so healthy but are all homemade and quite delicious! We use a good deal of fresh produce from the Kings’ project – Doi Khum – fresh strawberries, gooseberries, figs, rhubarb, raspberries – to name a few.We look forward to having you with us.

If you haven't been to Na Aroon you have missed one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Bangkok! You take the Skytrain to Nana and walk towards Siam Paragon centre. Just make sure that the side streets of Sukhumvit count down... SOI 5, 3, 1. If they count down or up the even numbers you have to cross the road by one of the bridges.
Walk right to the end of SOI 1 and you will find a leafy green bijou hotel on the left. Walk straight in to the restaurant and choose to eat inside or out. If you eat outside a mosquito spray is provided and fans to keep them away!
The outside restaurant is a welcome haven, next to the hotel pool and surrounded by greenery. The waiting staff are extremely efficient and competent and all seem to be able to speak English. Their welcome is excellent and the owner patrols and engages in conversation freely.
The menu takes some time to peruse but has a large choice of vegetarian and fish dishes., mainly Thai, doing some homework might save you making an unsuitable choice like we did.
Overall a place with a delicious menu and a very friendly and beautiful ambience.

The prices are much lower than UK but quite expensive by local standards. A good feed would cost about 2000 Bhat or roughly 40 GBP, depending on how hungry you are.

Even if you don't stay at this beautiful hotel but you are in Bangkok this restaurant is a must. Great service and the food is the best vegetarian we have ever had - all immaculately served in beautiful surroundings. Make a reservation ......

The first thing that strikes here is the beautifulness of the place. Then the friendliness of the service. The many vegetarian options on the list and the fact that they strive to use organic ingredients when available. Oh. And the quality of the food - so good! They do not use MSG so the tastes are very fresh and not overwhelming. We got just perfect panang curry with deep fried mushrooms. Even the rice has choices - I'd suggest black rice, very delicious. Rarely one gets a dinner like this. So perfect!

Can highly recommend the place, besides organic and healthy food, vegetarian and seafood, they offer the most beautiful surroundings you can imagine in Bangkok. You can choose to dine outdoors in their beautiful garden by the pool or you can enjoy the food in the beautiful and cosy restaurant. The place is easily reachable by BTS skytrain. Go there if you look for an extraordinary experience.

Served and taken care of by the owner, great staff and atmosphere. Taking BTS Sky Train and walk to this restaurant is best. Some of Thai food does not as tasty as cheaper restaurants.

Dear Forestgecko!

Thanks for the review and glad to note that we took good care of you.

As to the food I feel we are a bit specialist as we have a combination of vegetarian and seafood. We also use as much organic materials as we can. The items we avoid – MSG, food colour, preservatives and excessive amounts of salt and fish sauce means that the food is more subtle and of course healthier.

In Bangkok you can always find good cheap and cheerful fare – that’s one of the pleasure of being here. But the down side is that you are not sure what’s going in to the food and where the produce comes from. Hygiene standards are also sometimes a lottery.

I don’t think you tried my desserts which are not quite so healthy but are surely full flavoured!!!

I hope we get to see you again and can convince you that more natural materials are a better way to eat.

Many thanks

David
