Description: Welcome to “Na Aroon” Restaurant at Ariyasomvilla Boutique Hotel and Spa. As you may be aware we try to produce a healthy but tasty cuisine. Our food is mainly vegetarian and we have an extensive range of seafood. We do not sell meat. We do not use MSG, food coloring, preservatives. We do use as much organic materials as we can and we try to ensure that we know the provenance of our food stuffs. We use good quality oil and properly fermented soy sauce. Please ask our staff for help on menu selection if you need assistance. Where as most of our vegetarian food is “mang sawirat” ( no killing) we can produce good tasty food for vegans and even “Jay” ( Chinese vegetarians). Please let us know if you eat eggs or not.Our western desserts are not quite so healthy but are all homemade and quite delicious! We use a good deal of fresh produce from the Kings’ project – Doi Khum – fresh strawberries, gooseberries, figs, rhubarb, raspberries – to name a few.We look forward to having you with us.

There's lots of nice vegetarian food but none as elegant as this. Lots of interesting choices and variety, all well presented and delicious. Staff are super friendly and fitted us in without a booking. Would love to have stayed at the hotel here but only found it after booking somewhere else. A bit tricky to find in such an ordinary and unlikely street. The room itself is beautifully decorated with woodwork, flowers and art.

Neither my husband nor I are vegetarians. However, whenever we are staying in Ariyasomvilla (the boutique hotel that houses Na Aroon Restaurant) we enjoy the food here so much that we eat in regularly. I read in a couple of reviews that Na Aroon is a fair walk from the SkyTrain - it is and I would certainly advise getting either a tuk tuk or a taxi - particularly at night.

We haven't tried any of the dishes with "vegetarian meats" as we just don't see the point - if we want to eat meat we'll go somewhere to eat real meat! However, the soft shell crab and river prawns are sensational, as are all the fish dishes we've tried. Fresh, great quality ingredients, lots of organic produce too - with a wonderful balance of flavours. We live in an area of Sydney famous for its Thai cuisine so know what we like! David, the owner, is almost always on hand to help and advise - all his suggestions have been superb.

The other thing that we love is that David spends many hours in the kitchen making wonderful English desserts - crumbles and tarts, bread and butter puddings, sponge puddings - and on and on! Never good for the waistline but fantastic and unusual finishes to a healthy Thai meal. My recommendation would be to share as the portions are very generous.

The service and ambience of Na Aroon are highlights too. It's a gracious, peaceful, tasteful place!

Our first visit to Na Aroon is pretty much a walk-in based on a brief internet search 'vegetarian Thai restaurant in Bangkok'. We were pleasantly surprised with the food quality and friendly service though we arrived half hour before their closing time.

Our second visit took place last weekend and this time I made a reservation via email before I flew to Bangkok. Needless to say, our dinner was delicious and the experience was wonderful. We are vegetarian so it can be quite a challenge finding vegetarian Thai cuisine. Na Aroon serves a good array of vegetarian options (there are some seafood dishes for non-veg) and this is exactly what we ordered.

Starter : Pomelo salad with cashew nut and chilli
Marinated grilled tofu served with spicy peanut sauce

Main : Vegetarian tom yum soup
Brinjal green curry
Stir fried seasonal green with mushroom
Black rice

Dessert : Chocolate tart (note : home made by owner)

Na Aroon is a beautiful, charming restaurant set in a boutique hotel (Ariyasom Villa).
If you value a relaxing dinner, quality food, served by friendly staff, this is a must try if you are in Bangkok.

The restaurant is part of a boutique hotel, in a relaxing, soothing setting. Food is very healthy since they only provide non meat dishes. Try their tofu shaomai or sweet basil pineapple juice! A refreshing enjoyment in hot Bangkok. We went twice in two days.

A friend was kind enough to treat me for dinner here one night. I loved the setting, in the middle of one of the busiest cities in the world, yet calm and peaceful once you enter the property. Although not all on the menu was vegetarian (advertised as 'vegetarian cuisine'), I personally enjoyed the food and found the service equally pleasant. And even though its bit on the pricey side, I'd definitely like to visit again when in Bangkok.
