Most well known for their curry crab. I highly recommend going to the nicer locations inside the Grand malls like Central Embassy. The smaller local spots are more 2-3 stars. Delicious foods that you don't normally see overseas.

Hosted 70 people to dinner at this branch recently. In my opinion, the food quality and taste is the highest here. Unfortunately, there is some variation in standards across branches. Curry crab, black pepper crab, grilled prawns and all the fish dishes are excellent. Service is great at all branches.

Our business partner wanted to eat dinner at one of the branch of Somboon in Bankgok. I made a reservation, very friendly staff. They gave us a table at the 2nd floor in the middle of the typical round large Chinese tables packed with loud Thai-Chinese families or company dinners - almost impossible to understand each other at the table. Very loud, very busy, tables were sold at least 3x same evening. Food traditional tasty, good, service good.

I have been many times in this well known seafood restaurant but quality must improve, don't stay lay down on your normally good reputation.
I was with family and special from overseas, unfortunately sit near "Chinese" table of 10 guests and what a mess !!!! these uneducated people were laughing and crying so loudly !!!! unacceptable.
Then I was surprised by the food - very tasty (thanks to Mr Knorr) but not so fresh.

We came at 19.00 and the queue is very long. But we waited only 20 mins. Black pepper crab was delicious with fried fish with thai souce. Service is excellent and we did not have to wait too long
