“Clean, convenient, and reasonable for a short stay”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

Spent one night at the hotel on my way from Phnom Penh to Amsterdam. I chose the hotel based convenience to the airport and the price.

Check in was easy - no line, no wait, no hassle. The room was basic but clean, and included a few nice extras (plenty of free chilled bottled water, etc.). Internet was not included, but I didn't need it given the short stay. I didn't use any of the hotel facilities or eat any meals there. Every staff member that I talked to was friendly and efficient.

The airport transfer was a mixed bag. Upon arrival I had to find the "driver" in a crowded area with many signs. It wasn't really a driver, but rather someone who notified the hotel that I was there. Thus, I had to wait about 15 minutes for the shuttle to arrive after I found my "driver". On the return, there was a sign-in sheet with various times that one could go to the airport. I think these were only hourly, although there was a couple-hour break for the driver in the middle of the morning, meaning I had to leave earlier than expected. In general, the airport service, while free and low stress, did involve waiting and planning around a schedule. This was despite the fact that I confirmed the pick-up/drop-off times via email prior to arrival. Not that big of a deal in the long run, especially given my very reasonable rate... but worth pointing out. If you're on a tight schedule or don't want to wait, you may need to do a taxi.

All in all I'd consider the hotel again for a quick one-night stopover, especially if I could again get a great rate.

I've visited this hotel several times and it is excellent value for a hotel close to Suvarnabhumi airport. Rooms are comfortable, there's a nice pool area and I've always experienced friendly service from the staff, they even upgraded my room the last time for being a repeat customer. The transfer service seems reliable and I've always been met at the airport and promptly transported to the hotel. Recommended.

Room Tip: Get a room by the pool if you can....

We stayed at The Cottage on two separate occasions during our honeymoon to Thailand recently. First time was when we arrived from Sydney to Bangkok really late in the evening and the second time was our flight from Bangkok back to Sydney really early in the morning.
The Cottage is very close and convenient to the airport and its even better when your package include the airport transfer so you need not have to worry about booking a taxi yourself. They made the travel to and from the airport effortless and efficient.

As we used the hotel mainly for having a bed to rest the night before leaving to another city or going to the airport- we really just needed a decent place to rest our head and basic amenities, we were very pleased with what the hotel offered. It was clean, tidy, and catered to all our needs. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

Only downside is that you have to pay for wifi- but considering the very good and cheap price of the hotel, it really doesn't matter.

All in all, great hotel for resting to night before heading off elsewhere.

Room Tip: the packages with free airport transfer are very useful. Poolside rooms and standards rooms are p...

We only stayed over 1 night as we had an early transfer at the airport but it suited us perfectly. The room was tidy and clean and had the essentials. Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful and were able to arrange our pickup and drop-off on time. Their restaurant was nice and closed at 10pm which meant we could have a quick meal before bed. The food was typical Thai style, nothing fancy but very satisfying after flying for 10 hours.
We would stay here again if we were needing to stay near the airport. The road side food outlets looked fantastic serving up local food to locals, a shame we didn't have time to join them.

Was very clean and tidy for a quick stay before getting on a plane. But it's still a decent taxi ride from the airport. About $5 each way.
A free airport shuttle would be a nice addition...
No free wifi unfortunately.
Staff very friendly and helpful.

We stayed for just one night to catch a flight on the next day. The hotel is clean and is very well organized. It provides e.g. airport pick-up / drop-off services and affordable wifi. Breakfast was very good. Excellent value for money. We will definitly come back.

We just had an overnight at this hotel on our way to Koh Chang. 10 minutes from Suvarnabhumi international airport and they offer free airport shuttle. The staff was friendly and very helpful and fast at check in. Small restaurant and meny but tasteful food and also breakfast was ok. If you want to stay neat airport and not pay to much this is an option. Hotel also have a small pool and sitting area around it.
