“Average Bangkok Hotel, in Good Location”
Reviewed August 7, 2012

Average in every way. Rooms are not dirty but not especially clean, the price is average but there are better hotels in Nana for the same price.. To be fair there are worse too.

Rooms do not look like the pictures on the website and the standard rooms are very small. However the staff are friendly and polite.

The location is good, a short walk to the Nana BTS Skytrain and lots of entertainment right outside the door of the hotel too.

Room Tip: Ask to see the room first.. some are very small.

The family stayed for 1 week using 3 rooms. I have also stayed here about 7 years ago, but it was under different ownership then. Clean and quiet. Comfortable beds. Good shower pressure. Very very handy to Nana Skytrain station. On first night aircon in my room was 'marginal', but the hotel solved problem quickly by upgrading me to a slightly bigger room (with a few extra amenities) and set about repairing the aircon unit immediately. Staff very friendly and helpful. Price fair for 3-star style place. Rooms had normal stuff like kettle and minibar (at very reasonable prices). Soi 7/1 is home to a number of bars and massage places but there wasn't any noise problems. Some restaurant staff had difficulty with English, but no significant problems. Breakfast menu a bit limited but that's minor. I would be happy to stay there again.

Room Tip: Natural light is nice, but don't pay extra for a 'view'. There isn't one worth looki...

Can't beat this place (for the price) on a dead end bar and massage filled soi just off the fun part of Sukhimvit. I stayed here twice in early July, once in their best room and once in the cheapest, darkest, windowless room! I thought their 'superior' room was quiet, good bed, satellite TV, hot water, window with view of something and a safety deposit box. I wouldn't go back to the cheap room just to save a few baht. Didn't try the breakfasts as I had to leave too early both times, but there's plenty of choice for good breakfasts in the area if you don't like what the hotel has to offer. I'd stay again. No on-line booking, you have to email them in advance. Service was fine

Room Tip: Ask for a Superior room - and one on the back or side of the hotel - you don't want one facing o...

The BAD:
- The hotel & room does not look close to what the pics are being displayed in numerous booking sites.

- the room does not equipped with an electric kettle which is a basic standard appliances

- hotel breakfast menu seriously need to be improved. There are only 4 different sets of breakfast to choose from and the serving is small. Coffee/tea no free flow.

- the room only have a small little window, which is to my personal dislike.

- the water in the shower room does not seems strong enough

The GOOD:
- The hotel is locate in a small lane which is 3mins walk to the BTS station and offer great convenience. Also, the room is adequately spacious, though unlikely is 30sqm which some of the booking sites have claimed to be. It should be around 25sqm. But nevertheless, still have adequate room to move about and not too cramp. The room also equipped with a safe deposit box. The aircon is adequately cooling.

- The hotel staffs are mostly friendly, though command of English are not as good.

Short budget stay of 1-2 nights is alright with the price to pay for. Else, with the price one is paying, there are some better choices in that vicinity.

Room Tip: The rooms facing in front of the hotel, will tends to be noisy due to the various pubs below. One ca...

Maxim's Inn is a pleasant hotel in a vibrant area of Bangkok. The location is close enough to the BTS Nana to allow easy access to all areas that a tourist would wish to visit. While on Soi 7/1 requiring that you need to walk past a number of massage parlours and girlie bars, it is far enough from Sukhumvit to allow an undisturbed nights sleep. Staff are very pleasant and were happy to attend to our every need. Would definitely stay here again.

Close to the action of Sukhumvit, and the Nana BTS station is very near. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. Modern and clean rooms. Basic breakfast, but decent for the price. Definitely recommend

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel, for quietness

Location is a huge plus, a stone's throw from the Nana BTS station

We booked a triple room on the 3rd floor. The room was big & so was the attached washroom. Decor was quite nice as well. Breakfast consists of 4 set menus...though adequate maybe a bit boring

The hotel is not exactly suitable for families with children, because the Soi or lane where the Hotel is located houses quite a few bars, the 'activities' in & around which picks up as night sets in. The adjacent rooms can become noisy as well at night

For single travellers & couples, it can be fun though!
