My first time to Thailand.
This was a wonderful home away from home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone travelling, including those with small children (though I wouldn't recommend Thailand to families with young children).
What I loved:
Room size, room cleanliness, kitchen, full size fridge, in room washer/dryer, two TVs, 24 hr fitness center, convenience stores close by. Breakfast buffet a large edible selection - had it 4 days straight without getting bored.
Take the hotel golf cart (tuk-tuk) for a free ride to Emporium (think XinYi district / Singapore / Ginza / South Coast Plaza) with an awesome food court / Gourmet Market (supermarket).
Important tips to get to airport:
First off, there is no bus to the hotel from Airport. If you have a lot of luggage and have US$50-$75 to burn and would rather sit in traffic in AC than use public transportation, order a taxi with the front desk before you arrive.
The quick and efficient way is to the hotel is to take public transportation.
CITY LINE rail to transfer to Phrom Phong and walk through Emporium to Marriott TukTuk pick up, call hotel and have them pick you up. Total cost maybe US$5.00 pet person and its a predictable 1 hour with covered walkways the entire route.
I saw a SIXT so I guess you could rent a car, but traffic blows and its a right hand drive country.
