Went here because of good rating on Tripadvisor. The restaurant is located in a small shopping mall a little bit outside from the city center. If you take the BTS you have to consider an additional walk of around 10 minutes. Food was very delicious and service was really good, nothing to complain about. Prices are high but fair. We only rate 4/5 because they charged us for two bottles of water which we did not order (and one of them was still closed when we asked for the bill) and because the prices in the menu are stated without taxes (we never experienced this in other restaurants during our three weeks visit to Thailand). Recommendation to the manager: Include taxes in the prices stated in the menu because this is what the guest is concerned about. All others expect 17% to be added so far.
In summary we would go there again and recommend this restaurant if you are searching for good Indian food in Bangkok.

The location is a bit odd (second floor of a small shopping mall) but do not let that detail mislead you. This is a superb restaurant. They know how to cater and the food is excellent. Some of the best chiken tikka masala (including many in India): not overcooked, juicy, seasoned to perfection. The staff is not timid about making recommendations and will even steer you clear from something they believe is not the right choice for you. The palak paneer is heavenly. Save room for dessert.

Pleasant visual ambiance in that international yuppie style, excellent wait staff/service,excellent portion sizes of subtlely spiced foods, progressive 'tradiontional' Indian music on the sound system. Prices appropriate to the above descriptions.
What's not to Like??

About fifteen feet from the front entry door, which was left open,is located one of those plastic portable playground of a modest complexity. Thereupon was a continiously replenished popuplation of joyfully SCREECHING childrens. Having a childrens Grand Old Time.. I mean a seriously, exuberent vocal good time.

These sounds effects permeated the whole dining area such that the music,a bit on the loud side for my taste, was overpowered. Maybe this level and sort of sound effects would be acceptable on a second class railroad carriage in India. But rather disturbing for the kind of classy eatery this place presents presents itself.

I complained to the management on paying my bill and asked if I was the only person to make this complaint. He said many people make this comment

My advice for a trip to this place is NEVER,EVER go there when school is out(I went on a Sunday late afternoon) or when the kiddies are not in bed.

Why the management, who reportedly has fielded these complaints in the past, did not have the thoughtfullness to close the front door is beyond reasonable consideration(except that it was in Bangkok where logic is often ineffable) and why the toney shopping center would put such a plaything near several pricey eateries is....well...whatever. I've been to a few expensive shopping malls and have never seen such a playground on the premises.

Anyhow....Enjoy....

We went as a treat on Christmas Day. We were not disappointed, the presentation of the dishes was sumptuous, well-garnished with limes, coriander and all my other favourite Indian spices. The menu invited me to try a couple of the chefs specials and even the side pickles and sauces were well presented, as was the nan and roti in a bread basket.
I was surprised the waiter twice recommended things I didn't want however and felt that was slightly patronising! When it comes to Indian food I know what I want thank you very much. Therefore a star has to come off, sigh... 5 for the food, 3 for the service... 4 it is then.

Visited Masala art for evening meal. Very busy with mostly Indian clientele. Open kitchen in good order. Very attentive service. Had mixed grill platter starter. Lamb and fish curry. Excellent breads. All very good standard and worth a visit.
