Initially, only my daughter and I had agreed to go for this adventure, but my wife and son joined in, not wanting to be left out. None of us regretted doing this!
We were picked up near the famous Khao San Road in their Flight of the Gibbon van and driven to the jungle area near Chon Buri, a one-and-half hour journey. We were received warmly by a hostess. After some form filling and letting her know our lunch preference, we were ready to be kitted out in the harness.
After a small demo by our guides, off we went for a gruelling climb in the May heat! Finally, after reaching the destination (always accompanied by a guide), we were 'launched' one by one from one treetop to another!
The first jump was scary, but we got bolder as we went along!
Finally, after 31 jumps, I think we were ready for some more! Eventually, it was gravity which was doing the job!
The last jump brought us to a place just above the base camp - so we sort of rappelled down, guided by our trusted guides! Our guides were very cheerful and kept our spirits up all the time.
It was time for lunch, which was a delicious Thai chicken preparation and a vegetable preparation.
After that, it was time to tour the open zoo, which is in the same area, in an open vehicle. This was very thoughtful, as we were in no mood to walk after lunch! The zoo is built in such a way that the animals can be seen from quite close - we could even feed the giraffe!
Needless to say, we were dropped back to our pickup point by our van in the afternoon.

We did a small south east Asia tour over the past few weeks and the experience gave us one of the best thrills!! The entire family enjoyed it and was not one bit expensive, very reasonable. All safe and well maintained, the facilities that is. But it's almost 2 hours outside Bangkok, towards Patttaya City, but its a day thing, do it!

This zip line tour is absolutely amazing and if you have any appreciation for nature it is a must do activity.

My fiancée and I booked this tour for our first full day in Bangkok and while we got of o a rough start (we struggled to find the meet/pick up point for the tour but this was more down to us being unfamiliar with the city and where we were going) So we arrived late and were informed that we had missed our shuttle that would take us to the rain forest. The guide simply organised for another bus to drive us up there, excellent service and going beyond for their customs. After a pleasant drive once we got there and I had paid for the tour, they let us choice a souvenir from the gift shop to take home with us. An added bonus that I didn't know about while booking the tour.

Next from the staff centre you travel further up the mountain in a bouncy shuttle ride since the "roads" aren't too well built (or there at all but that's all part of the fun and adventure) to the drop off point. There is were you get kitted up in all the gear. It all seemed to be kept in gear condition and everything was double or tripled checked by the staff as they helped you put it all on.

Once your all suited up, you have an intro lesson by your guides who explained to us in very good English (and also Russian I think for the other people with us) what we would need to do once we where up there. We all had a little practice and then went off to the first starting point.

A couple of factors to consider at this point. The climb up to the first zip line is pretty steep and the air becomes kind of thin the further up you go. So while this is the only climb you have to do for the tour it can become very tiring very quickly. Both my fiancée and I are in excellent physical help and by the end of it even we were catching our breath. Also be aware once you start on this first zip line you have to finish the tour. There are no points any where along it to get down, the only way off is to finish all the zip lines and some of them are very high.

Once you start zip lining make sure you keep your eyes open, the view of these rain forest are completely amazing. They will honestly leave you speechless and wondering why any one would want to chop some thing as beautiful as this down.

The further you go on the tour the longer and higher the zip lines become. You are constantly bolted on to a safely line even when the guides switch you from one line to the next. One of your two harnesses is always attached to a cable. A nice reassuring feeling when your that high up. The guides never once risk any ones safety this allows you to stop worrying and actually enjoy the experience.

Once you finish with the tour you are treat to a tasty lunch, kind of tame on the spicy side but I imagine their trying to carter for some possible picky tourists. After this we were told that we could go on a quick tour of the zoo they have there. Which was a nice little surprise since it was another thing we weren't aware of when booking the tour.

All in all this was such a great experience and one I would recommend to any one. When I head back in September this year I'll definitely be doing it again.

Just a final tip when you are zip lining you are allowed to bring your camera with you , this allows you to get some amazing pictures but if you drop it, don't hold out any hope of getting it back especially not in one piece so the risk is up to you.

Overall, it was a great and existing experience. We did some zip lining in the past, but this one was the longest and biggest we did yet.
The instructors were very informative and the entire ride felt very safe. The hardest part was the breaking and landing at the end of each line, but the instructors were there to help. There is a bit of a hike at the beginning for the first line, but from there it’s not very physically demanding.
Booked through a local agency and got a better price than the one they offer on their web site. The pickup was right on time from our meeting point, but our other van mates could not find their meeting place so we had a bit of a delay. The ride to the jungle was quite long and the driver decided to stop for gas on way so we got delayed even more. Normally I would expect from someone that it’s his job to drive a car to fill up the gas before taking on passengers. They also had only one pump of gas at the gas station so the line was huge… so inefficient.
The trip also included lunch and a safari ride. The lunch was very basic – some rice, some chicken and some fruits served with lots of ants traveling on the table. Drinks were charged extra. Since we were quite tired and a small group we decided to pass the safari ride and get back to Bangkok.
