It was my first time staying at On8 and I must say that I've truly enjoyed myself.

Excellent location - right beside Nana BTS station. Very safe, especially if you're a solo traveller or just a group of girls traveling. You've gotta be sharp as the side entrance is located within a tailor shop. It will say: On8 Sukhumvit Cafe.

Massage parlors, manicure/pedicure, delicious roadside stalls (noodles, bbq chicken, fruits etc), convenience store (7-11), chill-out bars are just a stone throw away.

Service - Helpful and friendly receptionist. They usually issue you with a user-id for the wifi that lasts for 1-2 hours. However, you may request for a 24 hrs id and they'll be happy to give it to you.

Rooms - Quiet despite the fact that roads and BTS is just nearby. TV with wide range of channels. Beautiful toilets and extremely comfortable bed! Almost everything in the room is well-thought of. Excellent for the price that you pay.

Security of the Hotel - They have a security guard at the door. As for the lifts; you can only access the levels using your room card.

Overall, the stay was enjoyable; feeling secure the whole time even though we were 2 girls traveling.

I stayed in this hotel last week. It did not begin quite well from the onset as this hotel is quite dissicult to locate. My taxi driver apparently had no clue though he did actually take me to soi 8. I got off anyway and chose to scout for any pointer. I did find a sign on the big road just next to the escalator up to the BTS nana station...but weird enough what i saw was just a suit-making shop (and door closed). Completely flummoxed, I went back to soi 8 and spotted an alley...just gave it a try....and the main entrance is tucked away in the end of that alley...

Check-in was swift and quite attentive. Free wi-fi is a dealbreaker for me choosing a hotel and this hotel does provide free access. I asked about the formality and was then given 2 log-in ids and passwords, each of both legitimate for ...1-hr access, of which I discovered when I back to my room...well...a pretense for me to get to bed early after I used up all the free access.

The room itself, I guess, was the smallest type of all, which I think was adequate for me. No gripe at all as a solo traveller. You know, when you travel alone, big and spacious room bring you "solitude" and some "spookiness" The decor is what you see from their official website, no bells and whistles, yet very clean and the bed is comfortable. TV sports a wide range of local/foreign channels. Wifi is consistently strong. Someone here talked about the window and light issue. Yes, my windows are translucent too but not that you-think-is-night-when-it-is-day type. I did not tried opening the window and I guess the view is not that I will write home about. I hopped out to purchase toobrush and toothpaste (not provided in the room) and some snacks. A convenience store is around the corner along with a few massage parlor.

My plan did not come with free breakfast. Next day I approached the reception and requested "longer wifi access". This time I was offered new log-in ids which was good for my stay. I am generally not a hotel F&B patron, but I did try this ground-floor cafe a few times over my 5-night stay. Most of the time, it was quite empty and the food was quite decent and very reasonably-priced (hotel guests get some sort of discounts also). It was ideal for you to while away an hour or 2.

No gym facilities and pool at this hotel. Venturing out is a breeze as the BTS station right in your face will take you to other areas without any hassle, Asoke (if you like, walking up there is as easy), Chitlom, Siam..Weekend market are all on the same line).

Service-wise, kudos to th staff there. A beefy staffer at the reception was consistently friendly and approachable. My room cleaner was also smiley and quite responsive (1st morning I left a note at the doorknob requesting more bath gel and a faulty thing be fixed which were handled by the time I was back). The waiting staff at the cafe was also well-mannerd, one minus point is that their communication in English was a tad sketchy.

This is a hotel which could make you feel home. Speaking of home, I mean no razzle-dazzle, yet cozy and anything expected. But if your hotel experience includes lounging away a steamy afternoon around the pool, this is apparently not for you.

This is a beautiful place to stay when in noisy, chaotic Bangkok. Walking into this hotel off of the hot street is a joy. The rooms are on the small side but they are well designed and attractive.
The staff are young and energetic and the breakfasts, included with my stay there were super.
No wonder this place won the Travellers Choice Award for 2012.

Room Tip: If you are planning to stay there before December 31, ask for a room which is not near the construct...

This is my second time staying at On8.

On8 still provide excellent service. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

Will be good if hotel has a shelter for vehicle to park and connected to the hotel, My family and myself had arrived at hotel in a taxi and it was raining heavily and there was no way we can enter the hotel with our bags without getting wet. The taxi driver had to call the hotel to request your staff to assist.

However your staff braves the rain with umbrellas and came to assist which we are very grateful.

The cafe is now a bit small as compared to last time and so had to wait for a table during the morning peak period but all in all no complains.

Will stay at On8 again if I visit Bangkok.

The main entrance of On8 Sukhumvit is located on Soi 8 and tucked behind the main boulevard in a back. Some taxis or shuttles may get confused since it is not as visible but nonetheless the
convenience of this boutique hotel will show its charm ten fold. Ultra modern, clean, and chic rooms. Go for the Deluxe rooms as the single unit rooms may tend to be too small for 2 travelers together. Location is excellent ! Right off the BTS...I mean literally right off the station and close to some excellent food establishments like Viva and Monsoon.
The stars of the show are the staffing here. Staff have the finesse to know when travelers are tired and may not want to be bothered or asked questions (which seems to be the friendly conversation start up in BKK such as 'where you go?'). This is such a highly sought after skill in the hotel trade and many other boutique hotels in this area could learn from On8. If you do choose to engage the staff...they are extremely knowledgeable and friendly about surroundings on where to go...or where NOT to go. Thank you On8 ! Will be back.

Room Tip: Go for the Deluxe Suite Rooms.

Right by the BTS, great breakfast with the main part being cooked to order, clean rooms that have been recently renovated, small rooms but what do you expect in the location you get....besides you are there to sleep not lay around and watch tv=). Great staff with good English...very helpful. Close to shopping.

This boutique hotel is very well located, a few steps away from the BTS-station "Nana" at Sukhumvit. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are modern and very clean. Bathroom is luxurious. The only little "problem" here is that the water off the shower needs some time to evacuate. The food is good, but not excellent. I wish to thank the staff and the management for their excellent work. This hotel is an example of how a hotel should be managed.
