“Decent room but bad smell”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2014

The room was spacious and clean enough but there was a terrible smell emanating from the bathroom. I don't think this is the fault of the hotel because the area in general had that smell. The location is excellent, just outside the Thong Lo BTS stop. The shower was adequate. If you're planning on checking in after midnight, send them an email in advance. I would not recommend this guest house for anyone with average or better olfactory perception.

Stayed for 4 nights in budget fan room. Easy to find, but if you're looking for Pink Guesthouse, look for large Padi Madi sign, as Pink Guesthouse is on the 5th floor (walk up 2 flights, long walk down corridor then up 2 more flights). Staff is just friendly enough but you won’t get much out of them without asking. The room is a pretty good size & was pretty clean. 2 shared showers & 1 shared toilet for the top floor. No towel or toiletries. 3 electrical outlets & the highlight of the room…a 3 port power strip! Wifi was surprisingly fast & rather stable. No screens on the windows & quite a bit of traffic all day & night. Carpet & walls could be cleaner. Rooftop access to smoke or just watch the BTS go by. Location is good for the price on Sukhumvit, right next to BTS. Convenience stores, cheap Thai food & smoothies are within 5-7 minute walking distance. 2 train stops or 20 minute walk to the exciting Nana plaza. Overall, it’s an ok place to stay for a few nights.

We stayed 2 nights in the Padi Madi in December. The location is perfect, just 20m from the Sky Train station at Thong Lo.

Despite not serving breakfast and the noise of the traffic sometimes being a little too much, the rooms are tidy and for just under $30 I think it was a fair price. The best thing about Padi Madi is Peter, who works at the reception. He was extremely helpful and catered to all our needs.

Also, next door is a funky Japanese Karaoke Bar (MoonBall), with cheap drinks and great company.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Thong Lo.

Room Tip: Rooms on the road side can be very noisy.

Near to thong lo bts station and near to find the market when you want to find something to eat, but they don't have elevator only stairs. I got room that have a window so i can see the weather. So far cozy place to stay

I was arrived like at 2:00 am and called the number written on the closed door, the miss who opened it was not too happy..but she did smile and, after learnt that we haven't ate anything since noon, politely suggested some places where we could buy food. So id say i really appreciated it.
The room is modernly decorated with a stylish simplicity, it worth every coin I payed (really countable if payed buy coins xD.)
Its recommendable for budgets who don't care too much about noise or room areas...the rooms are really tiny but with good lightning.
The owner and her french bf are great-both of them are friendly and charming.

Room Tip: I have no idea

2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

We were given a room on the fourth floor, and there was a dreadful, horrid smell of sewage coming from the bathroom! It got worse every time you washed your hands or had a shower, basically any use of the drainage system! The room was super tiny to begin with, but this made it 1000 times worse!

We asked for a room change the next day and was relocated to the 3rd floor, with no extra charge. Otherwise we would have forfeited the rest of our stay there (5 nights) and checked out of the place. Everything still smelled a bit musty in the new room but was heaven compared to the scent of sewage.

Oh, I couldn't seem to connect to the WiFi on the fourth floor but could when moved to the 3rd floor. The receptionist half-jokingly mentioned that the owner probably could not afford any modifications to the place, hence any complaints would make no difference.

But on the bright side, the staff are friendly and helpful. And the best part is that the Thong Lo BTS is literally at its doorstep. So for the price of the place, I guess you really do get what you pay for.

p.s. Loads of stairs, so if you're not physically mobile, forget it.

Room Tip: Room on third floor connects better to the WiFi
