“A Friendly Oasis Near Bangkok Airport”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

We were picked up right on time inside the airport and around 15 minutes later arrived at the Paragon Inn. Check in was quick and ourselves and our bags were driven by golf buggy to our poolside room. Big clean room, modern furnishings and big clean bathroom. Had a few relaxing drinks at the little bar before bed, nice cold beer!!

In the morning had a yummy breakfast in the little restaurant in the reception area. Enjoyed the pool until we had to check out. Taken out to the airport in plenty of time. We felt we were really well looked after and the staff were all very friendly. Made for an extremely pleasant stopover.

Nice clean and modern hotel. It is situated in a quiet location near the airport. You can chill nicely before you fly or travel further. But if you need a airport transfer you can better take a taxi. It will save you more than half the amount the hotel charges you.

We were taken care of right when we arrived! Friendly and warm staff. They upgraded us to a poolside room at no extra charge because we had mis-read the room we chose online.
The food was great at the lobby. The beds were comfortable (softer than most in the country). They scheduled a car service for us in the am to the airport for a small fee. it was only 15 minutes to BKK. Keep in mind that due to its proximity to BKK, its about 1 hour from the action in town. However, with the pool, gorgeous rooms, great food, and plenty of cheap beer, we were fully entertained and comfortable without needing to leave the hotel property. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a lovely little stay-over before their flight the next am.

Room Tip: ask for poolside ZERO or GROUND floor. 1st floor in Thailand is often what we would call the 2nd flo...

The hotel is pretty basic, but close the BKK airport (meter taxi back to the airport next morning cost me 70 baht), which is why I picked it. They offer airport pickup (extra), which I decided to get since I was arriving late at night. There was nobody waiting for me when I arrived, but an hour and a couple of phone calls later they finally showed up. If it wasn't for the ridiculously long line I would have given up and taken a taxi.

Rooms are very basic and definitely showing their age. Cleanliness is also spotty -- there was hair in the toilet when I arrived. The pool is pretty nice, and the breakfast was decent as well -- they offer both western and Thai options.

Will probably choose somewhere else next time.

Stayed here my last night before flying home.
Pool access room was lovely until aload of children jumped in & the noise level was quite bad & adults playing ball.
I had envisaged a tranquil night/morning before flying home & this definately wasn't it.
For families with children this is perfect,if i was to ever stay again i would opt for a room well away from the pool or at least a floor above as your private deck is NOT..
Staff that i came across seemed quite inept & lacking in many ways.
The room was lovely, but sadly i would not stay again.

Room Tip: If you're after peace stay away from the pool.

We stayed at the Paragon on our last night in Thailand as we had an early morning flight. It is very conveniently located for the airport, however, not much else around if you plan on staying longer. Which is too bad because the hotel has a great atmosphere and would be nice to stay longer. There is a great pool, an outdoor bar area and a nice restaurant area. There is also massage and aside from a scheduling hiccup, probably my best Thai massage during my stay in Thailand.
The rooms are quite large but a bit sparse which was fine for us, however, they could do with some redecorating as they are starting to look tired. The Thai style beds were more comfortable than some of the other places we stayed at. The shower is hand held which would have been a pain if not for just one day.
Staff was overall quite pleasant although English was difficult at times, but we managed just fine.
We arranged for transport to the airport at 5 am and the driver came to our room to collect us and our bags which was nice.

i stayed there to be close to the airport and had a really bad time, the service was poor from start to finish.
upon arrival the scheduled airport transfer was not there and i had to wait 40 minutes for there arrival upon arriving at the hotel at check in i was informed that the room i reserved was not available, so i had to settle for a room with 2 twin beds, the room was ok but the A/C was noisy and it struggled to keep the room comfortable. The free breakfast was only thai food except for toast. I left my room at 9 am and informed the front desk it was open to clean as i was going out , upon my return at 3pm it had not been cleaned...i could go on and on, there are 4 other hotels on the same street, so you'd think they would make an effort

Room Tip: dont stay here!
