The room we (2 Backpacker) stayed in was ok.
The A/C in this room was working which is useful in the hottest time in Bangkok.
funny to shower in a bathroom without windows :)
staff was unfortunately too unfriendly :(

Have not stayed at the hotel/guesthouse, but my wife and I decided to eat here the other night after seeing the place packed with people time after time. Well, the adage that you can't go wrong eating at a place that's always crowded doesn't hold up everytime! Everything about our experience was disappointing (not terrible, but definitely less than expected).

We had their most popular BBQ fish, which was OK, but the sauce they put on it was a bit weird and pretty much masked the real taste of the fish. Stir-fried vegetables were tasteless and seemed not to be very fresh; the sauce cooked in was also tasteless. We both ordered nam manao soda to drink as it was very hot out that night. We were served glasses of water with a few pieces of lemon inside, with no soda and no sugar. The glasses were 90% ice and cost 50 baht each....easily the worst nam manao soda I've ever had in 20 years in Thailand!

Service was friendly, but very slow. The seating was outside, which is fine, especially for that area. But the night was very hot and they have no fans to cool. Instead, they have some obnoxious portable lights that seem to act like heat lamps at each table.

Worst of all, was an endless track of hideous noise (music?) playing in the background just loud enough to ensure difficulty in talking and an enduring headache.

Prices are also steep for the quality of the food and drinks.

So many better places around KS, Rambuttri and Phra Athit.... give this one a pass unless you're into the scene and don't care much about food quality and price.

If you like the night buzz, that's the place to stay in Bangkok. This hotel is located in the middle of Khao San Road, but you might get some noise at night. The rates are very good, but don't expect neat and clean bedrooms. The staff is not very attentive either, and there were no elevators (we stayed at the 4th floor). I would stay there again, though, considering the location and price.

Great location being one street over from the perpetual party on Khaosan Rd. Booked a Superior Double room that was just as in the photos. Very efficient and helpful staff. The one drawback to the location is that it's nowhere near the sky train (BTS) or the metro (MRT) although buses are easily accessible as is the ferry. Do not make the mistake of buying the daily ferry pass for 150bht as each journey could cost as little as 15bht. You'd have to hop on and off 10 times to recoup.

2 caveats: There is only one dim light in the bathroom above the sink so if you want to shower at night, it will be dark. Candles can be had at the larger of two 7-Eleven's to the right of the hotel. Second heads up, is that there is only one electrical outlet for the whole room. Bring an adaptor (flat prong).

The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels provided.

The restaurant scene is quite lively and enjoyable especially for people watching. The party on the street never stops, so if you are a light sleeper ask for a room that doesn't front onto the main road as there is no glass on the balcony bathroom windows. Closing the bathroom door does a good job of cutting the noise. There will be a punctual rooster in the neighborhood to get you on your way daily. :)

Great place to stay on the Khao San Road, super cheap, great bar/ restaurant and overall chill place to hang out during the day. The place got pretty lively at night and we had an amazing meal right on the sidewalk restaurant. We stayed on the 4th floor, no elevators but that was fine. Paper thin walls just like everywhere else we stayed in Bangkok. The location though is amazing if you want to spend time in Khao San Rd!

Not great for kids or anyone that needs a quiet night.

I love Bangkok. The noise, the vibe, the people... It's great and I've never had a bad experience until this one. There was the rat in the hallway, then bad 70's music until 3am so loud that I couldn't sleep. There are plenty of awesome places to stay in the area. Avoid this one!

This is a real gem. It is in a lively thoroughfare so if you choose to eat on one of the tables along the "roadway" there is plenty to see. We ate here on each of our 3 nights in BKK and were not disappointed. There is plenty of variety on the menu and the BBQ options are very good too. Service is relatively quick and prices are good- not the cheapest but certainly excellent value for money- all good quality food too so no complaints. I wanted to review this as a restaurant but it wasn't on the listings. It is also an easy walk to the livelier Khao San Road and not far from one of the river piers ( number 13 ) where you can catch the ferry.

Room Tip: front rooms can be a little noisy
