“A royal ripoff”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

We stopped there one evening - I had seen this place for years but never had eaten there. We ordered stir fried veggies, pla neung manao (a lovely fish dish) and a shrimp dish. The food was bland but the bill was almost 5000 baht. The fish, by the kilo, was 2000 baht. Of course that wasn't on the bill as such just "by weight". Avoid this place like the plague.

“don't even think to go there-terrible !!!!!”
Reviewed November 22, 2011

we decided to go to the seafood market restaurant in 89 sukhumvit soi 24. we were there 4 years ago and it was exellent.we looked for a taxi when some guy who represent the Bangkok Tourist Information (it was near our hotel- novotel on siam square) told us that it is impossible to reache the restaurant due to the flood,instead- he recommend the phayathai seafood.
The service was terrible ,the food and drinks were not as we expected and the price - 4 time a regular dinner anywere in bangkok.

“Tourist Rip off, never ask taxis to take you to a "good" restaurant”
Reviewed March 22, 2010

This restaurant is a tourist trap, NEVER ask taxi and tuk tuk drivers to take you to a "good" restaurant. First day in Bangkok I and my wife were looking for a restaurant in Bangkok. After a chat with a local man took a reccommended tuk tuk to take us to a reccommended restaurant. We ordered two meals (fish, shrimps) and two drinks (water, coke) and got dry small something with absolutely no taste and 4 (really four) small pieces of shrimps. After partly eating that crap (still hungry and disgusted) asked for a bill. I expected a little rip off as I saw several people complaining when seeing a bill, but this was AN EXTREME RIP OFF, 3.890,- THB to pay!!!!!!!! I am not a nervous and agressive person, but in this case I got absolutely mad. After 30 minutes argueing finally paid 500,- THB and left that horrible place. This restaurant makes Bangkok´s name very bad, just DO NOT GO THERE.

“Beware tourist rip off.”
Reviewed January 5, 2010

Don't ever ask a taxi driver to recommend a restaurant. 2 king prawns, one red snapper, side of white rice, 1 coke & 1 local beer. 3,710 bht. Moreover, the food wasn't very good!
