this is the first negative review I have ever left !
I have been to Flow many many times and enjoyed it immensely, sitting out on the river. Usually perfect.
This lunchtime was absolutely awful. Just as the food arrived the background music started blaring out. And i mean blaring. I and my 3 guests couldn't hear each other speak. We asked the waiter to turn the music down. To no avail. We asked 3 times and didn't get an explanation. Meanwhile it completely spoiled our meal. No one took any responsibility.
I was quite frankly embarrassed at having told my guests how wonderful it was. The music was so loud we could not sit there in comfort. We asked for the bill. No one had any thought of , for example,taking the drinks off the bill. We paid the bill and proceeded to leave. As we were leaving another guest told us the manager was very apologetic and they had a problem with the electrics. Pity he didn't personally come out and apologise. So the management should be ashamed of themselves.
Trying to make a complaint via e mail or the web is also difficult. The hotel site doesn't allow you to contact them direct. You have to fill in a general form ( no room for complaints) to Hilton central which restricts comments to 500 . So it seems Hilton management don't want complaints and they don't take personal responsibility. After bringing many guests to Flow for 10 years I will never go again.
