travelling overnight or having a transit flight ;i would definitely recommend this hotel as they are just 10 minutes from airport and also they have shuttle facilities in every one hour which provides this hotel and edge.
coming to hotel;decent hotel with nice kitchen ;clean room however furniture was just ok.rooms are big enough.
Staff is definitely co-operative and friendly. They have internet/wi-fi too and round the clock restaurant and importantly room massage facility too.
However bit from City but in a peaceful location and a good hotel

Room Tip: go for superior rooms

I always sty here if I am flying in or out Suvarnabhumi Airport. Prices are reasonable
rooms clean and staff wonderful. many shuttle FREE to and fro Airport. Breakfast very very basic. However there is a "open food court" about 10 minutes walk away.
Rates at hotel are reasonable, Free WiFi and two free PC in lobby. Come on its very OK and I travel quite alot. So Handy for BKK Suvarnabhumi Airport a few minutes away.

We booked this hotel for 1 night at the end of our vacation, before our flight home. We booked round trip service from and to the airport. When we arrived at BKK there was no one holding the Regent Hotel sign, We had to look for the guy for 30 minutes and then we found out our names weren't even on the pick up list. Transport to the airport the day after went well.
The hotel looks great and luxurious on the website (what we wanted after staying in backpack budget hotels for 2 weeks) but in real is very old and outdated. The restaurant and spa are outside the hotel. Both didn't look attractive. The food was ok. Breakfast was included but poor. Not much choice (set A or B) no buffet, no fruit and only 2 slices of toast and a lot of fuss when we wanted our eggs scrambled instead of fried. Beds were awfull. Very hard beds and the mattress was covered with plastic so we were sweating all the time. The toilet smelled very bad like it has not been cleaned properly for a while. Promised free unlimited wifi but only available in the 'lobby'.
There is a kitchenette in the room but no free coffee or tea. Water is provided.
Wouldn't stay here again, even if it was for only 1 night. There are more hotels in the area.

We only stayed one night since we arrived late and we left early, but the overall impression of this place wasn't the best.

We arrived around 1:30am. The staff there were nice enough at that hour and when their credit card machine wouldn't work, they said we could pay in the morning. We were sent to our room, which wasn't so great. It was clean, but it was very humid and the place felt sticky. The halls were humid, sticky, and smelled of something strange. I'm a stickler though for smells and such, so that may be why I didn't prefer this place that much. The layout was great - huge room, with a small TV area, a kitchen, a good sized bathroom, a balcony. The bed was, as previously mentioned in other reviews, very hard and the sheet on top was almost inadequate.

The morning came and after getting a call from our wake up call, were then called 10 minutes before our shuttle was to arrive almost demanding we come down immediately to pay our bill. So we obliged, finished packing and went downstairs. Their credit card machine was still down, and yet the lady at the front desk (new person) continuously tried to swipe the card over and over again, as a shuttle full of people waited for us. They finally had the driver bring us to an ATM so they could get paid while making this act hold up the entire group, when they could have very easily charged the card at a later point in time.

I felt the service at that point was a bit outrageous.

Other notes: There are quite a few bugs in the place - mosquitos specifically. If you're using the computers in the lobby keep that in mind. Also, there are no bathrooms available anywhere in the hotel except for in your room, so also keep that in mind if you're planning on working or doing anything on the computers for an extended period of time.

if you are looking for a short stay in Bangkok, due to odd flight timings, then this is an ideal choice for a hotel as they provide you complimentary airport transfer. Rooms are fairly decent, great help for families having a baby or kids is the presence of a kitchenette. breakfast however is bad. there are two set menus. not much choice for veg. very inadequate too. however, fast food joints and restaurants are nearby (less than 1 km)

This hotel was set to get a great review - it's inexpensive, without being 'cheap', it's convenient, the service, including free shuttle bus to and from Suvarnabhumi, was excellent, and the hotel itself is quite well presented. And then I sat on the bed and nearly broke my coccyx... Like a lot of places in Thailand, they've bought standard Thai mattresses (which are feats of engineering mastery - all that design, construction and materials, for something that's as soft as laying a towell on the tiled floor!) Perhaps they did this because they were being cheap, or perhaps because they don't realise there is a difference; the truth is there is, and most foreigners actually want comfort when they sleep - after all, what else is a hotel for? Don't answer that. Anyway, due to the incredibly hard bed, it's a place I won't return to, nor recommend.

Room Tip: Ask if they have rooms with softer mattresses; you might be lucky.
