“Great location, facilities, staff and services”

Really can't fault this hotel at all, it's only about a year old and so everything is nice and new, clean, trendy and works! Great location on the Chao Praya river with stunning views of the river from the huge rooms. They have a free shuttle riverboat that takes you directly to the central riverboat station (less than 5 minutes down the river) and it runs early til late which is ideal for a long day's schedule. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food in both the downstairs buffet and outdoors restaurants (great location on the river's edge) was great, and the prices are not bad either. By far the best Phad Thai I had in my entire trip in Thailand! Would highly recommend staying here for sure!

This hotel is absolutely amazing. Where to begin? From the start the hotel staff welcomed us with open arms. They were authentic and friendly in that incredible Thailand way not found anywhere else in the world. Chatchawan, the director of rooms was so helpful and kind. They ushered us into an astoundingly modern, clean and elegant suite with amazing views of the city. There was fresh fruit waiting for us, the pool was fantastic, long for substantial laps and then in the afternoon it was filled with playing kids. The breakfast was the best, bountiful and delicious, the food was fresh and prepared with care. Everyone who rated this hotel...thanks we found it because of you...it added an amazing finale to a spectacular two weeks in Thailand.

I visited almost all the properties on the river in Bang rak and Chatrium stands out as far as location, attention to customers, state of the property and out class others like Centrepoint (not even comparable)etc,in its category.
The river view from the rooms is absolute and the restaurant has nice meals on the bank of the river, staff is discrete, friendly and in line with expectations of real 5 star property.
Certainly i will go back there.

Booked this hotel using Expedia, had great rates. Was given a room facing the river and high up giving us a night view of Bangkok.

Rooms were extremely spacious and clean. Bathroom was clean (had a bathtub and shower). Also had a kitchen. This hotel was like service apartment style but had the service of a hotel. 2 free bottles of water everyday. Shower taps were strong which makes a good shower. Room had a walk out balcony and is fully air conditioned.

Staff were polite and we were automatically offered a late checkout on arrival when the receptionist found out we had an evening flight. This makes such a difference as it helped with the last minute shopping.

Taxi is dirt cheap. On arrival, costed around 300 Baht + airport surcharge + tolls to reach hotel. On the way to the airport was 270 Baht + toll. Make sure you ask for a map of the hotel in thai (they emailed it to me) as the taxi driver may not speak english and this is a relatively new hotel.

Location is out of the hustle and bustle of Bangkok and there is a hotel shuttle boat that departs every 15 to 30 mins to take you to and from the BTS station (Saphan Taksin). It is also convenient as the tourist sites such as the grand palace is reachable by boat only and the BTS station is where the pier is. HAs a starbucks and a 7 eleven in the complex and some small thai restaurant across the road (they do not understand english so recommend you eat in the city centre before you arrive back at the hotel).

Breakfast was included and it had a good variety of food including a noodle station which had yummy thai noodles and an omellete station. The fish was surprisingly good and fresh. We also had lunch there and its all you can eat for around 330 Baht (dirt cheap for hotel standards) and there is a menu where you can order what you want.

Only downside is internet is not free. Not even if you bring your own laptop.

Lastly, there is a spa and massage place next door (outside the hotel and behind starbucks). Its called Nemita (you can ask the staff at chatrium and they will tell you where it is). It only opened last week and was running an opening special and prices were really cheap for hotel standards. The massages there was really good. The staff were really welcoming and the place was very very nice and clean and very very relaxing. Definitely a highlight of our stay. They do foot massages, body massage (oil or thai), aroma therapy, facials, scrubs, baths, everything you name it! Make sure you visit. Opens from 10am to 10pm - best relaxation after a long day of walking in Bangkok.

Totally recommend this hotel and spa.

The hotel has everything that one may want when on a busy trip. It is most comfortable, quite, spacious, friendly, affordable, with wonderful views and excellent service. It is an ideal refuge from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. The staff was most helpful. For example: they arranged for for an emergency appointment for a dental problem which was handled effectively and efficiently. The food is great. The pool overlooks the river and is large and beautiful. In short, our 4 days stay in the hotel was perfect.

Everything writen about this place is true. For the price it's the best hotel we've stayed in. I think we got a free upgrade because the room and view of the river/city from 28th floor was spectacular for $100 per night (expedia). Great pool and the most helpful freindly staff. it was perfect - until we had our last meal of the holiday their. It tasted fine but within an hour i was vomitting and then had to spend the full 12 hour flight back to the UK with head in a sick bag. Its a shame as the place would have got 10/10 of not for that - my husband ate the burger and chips and he was fine - so just avoid theduck curry. Don't let that put you off - this place is fab.
PS Top tip - for great /cheap food you can eat in the places on street at front of hotel(away from river) . Theres a place that brings a personal BBQ to your table so that you can BBQ meat, but also make veggie & noodle broth - the guy speaks english and he'll show you exactly what to do , he's super freindly too. Cheaper than the hotel food plus it never made me sick!
