“A trap for well-heeled tourists”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

The service here is IMPECCABLE - without exaggeration one of the most impressive in the world: Attentive, polite waiters are extremely thoughtful and can anticipate customers' needs. The restaurant is located in one of the best hotels in Bangkok, so it caters to those, or other well-heeled tourists attracted by the location. However, the food is very average, slightly westernised for its typical clientele (many dishes are too sweet), and the price is high for what it offers. You can get much better Thai elsewhere in Bangkok, even at upmarket eateries.

“don't miss this one”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

This restaurant has a beautiful setting. If weather permits, eat outside on the proch. Ver old world feel. Beautiful trees and gardens around you.
The service was outstanding. Our waiter Sam took such excellent care of us it was like being a guest in a private home. The food was not only visually beautiful but delecious. The lemon grass ice cream was also a big hit!.

“Good Hotel, Excellent Location”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

The food here was fantastic. A little on the pricier end, but the food was very good...we both thought it was the best food that we had while we were in Thailand. The atmosphere is pretty cool too as it's in a neat house. Highly recommend it,

“7 out of 10”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

Three of us ate in the Celadon and we had the set menus. The best elements were the simple micro leaves which packed great flavours, the duck in coconut sauce, and the coconut ice cream.
The Grouper was also very well done.
This is rated as one of the best restaurants in Thailand. But my Thai colleagues said that the local dishes were just that, well done, but nothing special. For the price and the rating they would have expected some distinctive signature dishes that showed off the skills of the chefs. Instead the dishes were what they would hope to get from good home cooking. This is not really good enough for the price, so 7 out of 10.

The other point made by a colleague was that he was surpsised that no one came to ask us how the meal was. Normally in a top restuarant they have a concern to see how the customers respond.

So overall a little disappointing, given the rave reviews that other have made.
