This hotel-apartment is located in a quiet soi off Rachadapisek Road in a fast growing district of Bangkok. The building looks very attractive, the apartments are new and inviting, as well as the swimming pool and gardens. The bathroom has a shower and enormous bath. There is an iron and ironing board as well as other kitchen utensils. It has everything to ensure a very pleasant stay.

We spent one night on an overnight from our cruise ship. The hotel is very satisfactory. The rooms are clean and well maintained. It is a long way from the tourist areas. Our tour guide dropped us off and picked us up so the location wasn't an issue for us. We had breakfast in the morning which was fine. I'm not an egg eater so I was glad to see the peanut butter and nutella!

I visited Amanta-Ratchada with my wife and this is the 5th time I am staying here. I must say that the standards are dropping drastically and management needs to take note of the following points:

1) Toiletries in the room. Although it was stated that there were two guests checking in, toiletries were provided only for one person. We had to call up housekeeping on a daily basis to top-up the toiletries.
2) Standard of the breakfast. It is poolside dining in the morning and although the spread is not to-die-for in the first place, over the years they have cut down on the variety and other than the minumum you would expect from a bed-and-breakfast, there is nothing much. Having breakfast in the morning has become such an atrocity because of the hordes of houseflies. The glue sticks that are put up to capture these flies are of no use. It is slightly short of an infestation. I would not include breakfast in my next booking. Also, the servers are eating at the same time in the air-conditioned area when guests are having their breakfast out at the tables. I don't think this is acceptable.
3) Having said all of the above, the rooms are still clean and comfy. I would still stay here the next time round because of the surroundings and serenity but definitely not for the service and breakfast. The prices are getting a little too steep for the quality.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms are pretty standard - they maintain the quality of the rooms quite well. It is the...

The hotel is about 7 years old, has rooms about 50 sq m, and room maid service is excellent.

Some of the fittings are showing wear and tear (big coffee stains on sofa, refrigerator warm, electrical problems..). The location is good if you only use MRT, although to get there you walk past a klong that carries odours from an upstream sewage treatment plant.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times, often for two months at a time.

It can be recommended for the reasons given in other reviews - you feel more like you are in your own apartment here, not so much in a hotel.

Unfortunately, there is now a big negative. The adjacent property is subject to a large scale commercial office development now under construction. It was very audible and intrusive, even in my room which was at the greatest distance possible. Work hours 0700 to 2200 for 7 days, arc lights at night. Loud enough to wake me up.

Judge for yourself from the photographs taken January 2013.

At the same time, there have been large increases in room rates.

There are other newer condominium-style offerings in Bangkok without the noise issues and at lower rates for similar rooms. Until construction is complete, these competitors are obviously a better choice.

The plus - good size rooms, good room maids, good location
The minus - very noisy, signs of wear and tear (especially appliances), not as competitive for value after rate increases, bad outlook from block A rooms described as "city view."

Room Tip: Don't book before nearby construction is finished (ie before 2014), don't book a City View r...

The location once you familiarized with the area is very convenient coz its close to a train station and some malls nearby. Our room is very spacious and trendy. Open kitchen to the living room but separate big bedroom and bath. All the room amenities is up to date. The design esthetics and comfort is very commendable. Our patio is overlooking the inviting swimming pool. Its quiet and definitely a home away from home. Free wi-fi too. Luckily, theres washing machine/dryer that we get to wash our two weeks of clothing after our trip in India. Great selection of food for breakfast too.his place is highly recommended.

Room Tip: High rooms always nice for view.
