In town for business, I spend three nights in this Novotel that open in fall 2011. Because of my platinum status Le Club Accorhotels, I was upgraded from a premier room to a suite. The suite was not too big and very convenient. The bed was awesome and and the numerous pillows contributed to feel like a king.
Unfortunately, my view was not that good, except if you like highways. However, some rooms have better views.
The restaurant on the 6th floor is a perfect place for the buffet breakfast.
It's definitely a place I enjoyed and it's a very very good value for money.

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. Location quite good, room was acceptable, restaurant quite good as well. Staff in the restaurant were very pleasant. Bed was comfortable. Massive stain on the carpet as you come out of the lift on our floor - would have thought that should have been attended to as it was large & unsightly. Someone with a better grasp of the English language on the tour desk would be of more assistance as we struggled to get the information we were after. Overall a pleasant stay, certainly not the worst Novotel we have stayed at.

Secured this room at a great price. Rooms looked almost brand new and well laid out. Good view over the pool and surrounding buildings. Front desk was efficient and concierge very helpful with planning. Our shower leaked water, but we asked for an extra towel to put on the floor - no issue but if your picky...

The pool is a welcome change from the heat of bangkok. 10min walk to the BTS, but there is also a shuttle bus if you remember to ask concierge. My only gripe was the free internet, it was slow and cumbersome having to logon every single time you wanted to use it.

Highly recommend this hotel for the new renovation, pool, price and location.

Stayed in executive suite. Very nice room well laid out. Comfortable bed. Very Nice grooming products. Breakfast very good with a selection of Asian and western foods. Location is a little far from major tourist attractions but I would stay there again.

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you for your comments.

I was a little surprised about the location being far from the tourist attractions, as most of the major places are on the river. Also the night markets of Pat Pong and Asiateque are only minutes away.

Please you enjoyed the hotel.

Kind Regards.

The hotel is located at the south end of Silom Road (away from the noise and crowds at the other end of Silom Road, near Sala Daeng and Patpong), near the Chao Phraya River. Two BTS stations are within a short walk from the hotel (Surasak and Saphan Taksin). There is also easy access to the Chao Phraya Express Boats and river crossing ferries, at Sathon Pier (next to Saphan Taksin BTS station).
The recently opened hotel is decorated in a sleek and modern style. My room (while definitely not large) was a good size and comfortable for 1 person or a couple. Numerous international TV channels were available. Internet was available with a charge, although a reasonable one and with several plans available (30 min., 1 hour, 24 hours, etc.)
Bathrobes were provided, but there were no slippers provided.
The bathroom was a good size, with a walk-in rain shower and a separate enclosed toilet area. There were two issues with the bathroom. The first issue was with the toilet room, where there was a bad smell throughout the stay. The walls in the toilet room were also stained. The second issue was with the sink. It was a very stylish design, but unfortunately not very practical. The water spout was too close to the back of the sink, causing water to splash and spill onto the counter-top constantly.
There is a small pool and outdoor deck area, adjacent to a well equipped fitness center. There are changing rooms with lockers available, for those using these facilities.
Overall, the hotel was comfortable and in a nice and quiet area of Silom Road. This is a good choice for anyone looking to stay in this area of Bangkok

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you for you comments.

There is no doubt our location is exceelent for those guests wanting to be near the activities and tourist facilities along the Chao Pharaya river.

Your other comments are well received and are being addressed, as there were some design faults with the sinks which are being replaced.

Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Kind Regards,

Robert Atlee

Novotel Bangkok Fenix Silom is a city hotel. It's located on Silom road- Bangkok's financial street near Patpong market. So, you can expect about size of rooms. However, in my opinion, rooms are well designed and fully utilized. I like a glass wall of a shower room and bedroom (with an electric curtain). It makes the room sound sassy and not too small. I also like the bed, a comfortable king size bed with a lot of pillows, both soft and firm.
Just a little thing that I would like to comment is about the faucet that was set too near to the inner side of a washbasin. So, water was easily to leak to the desk and floor.
Breakfast at the square is ok, although quite small when compared to Novotel Siam square. The quality and variety of food is meet my expectation.
The hotel has a outdoor parking lot with 24 hours securities. Transportation to and from the hotel is very easy due to abundant taxi, and the hotel offers free shutter bus to a nearby BTS station.
This is one of the most valued hotel on Silom road in my opinion.

Room Tip: Request for a room on a higher floor.

Thank you for your comments.

I am glad you enjoyed the hotel, and I understand as we have a few faucets that need to be longer and we are currently reviewing that situation.
