After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor we decided to stay at Ariyasomvilla on our first trip to Bangkok. We loved the small boutique hotel in the middle of Bangkok! We didn't regret our decision not to stay at a mega hotel on the river one minute. Ariyasomvilla is located at the end of a typical small Bangkok road and is a little oasis in a bustling city. The property is amazing from the lush landscaping to the attentive staff to the luxurious rooms and the excellent breakfast and dinner menu. If we ever return to Bangkok we will definitely return to Ariyasomvilla.
Thank you David and staff!!

This is a peaceful and welcoming place in the heart of bustling Bangkok. It is a modern facility tastefully renovated to ancient Thai style. Very peaceful. Wifi works fine and is free. We also had a couple of reinvigorating sessions of Thai massage in a dedicated pavilion within the hotel premises.

There is also a lap pool that is well maintained. It is open all day and we had a few swims at night with a glass of wine.

The restaurant is also very good, both for the food and the ambiance. We had a great dinner there. The owners are passionate their property and always look for more specialties and wines to add to their menu. We also had room service food the day we arrived, it was a good soup and came quickly but the portion was a bit small. Please make it bigger! :)

My wife and I stayed here three times over the period of a month and couldn't imagine a better place to rest our heads at night and to retreat to in the course of daily activities in Bangkok.

For starters, the grounds of the inn are beautifully designed by one of the owners, a woman who graduated from Harvard (Boston) in landscape architecture. The inn is built around a heritage house that has been in her family for three generations. The historic house's building fabric is very well preserved and the additions are tastefully executed so that the entire property has a uniform and properly scaled feel.

The guest rooms (we stayed in three types) are remarkably designed and appointed with lovely furnishings. The second owner and managing director, David, is a gifted designer with considerable experience, and it really shows in the guest rooms, dining areas and reception rooms, and frankly, everywhere on the property.

David was on-site everyday that we were there (8 nights in total), and oversees the operation and his highly competent staff in a most affable manner. It was just really comfortable to be there all the time. My wife and I had some great massages in the spa building, a really neat structure on the grounds where massages take place either on the covered roof area or inside.

The quality of food served here was extraordinary. All ingredients were fresh and healthy, and David personally makes some of the desert items.

The staff at this inn are fantastic - they appear to love their work and I could see that they are appreciated by the owners too. So, it is a very happy place and beautiful to boot. I should also say that cost of staying here was very reasonable.

We will definitely stay here again if we return to Bangkok.

One more thing - the swimming pool is larger than you might think in looking at the inn's website. And, most importantly, it is divine - exactly what you need at the end of a day, or in the middle of the day too!

Great hotel, but limited menu and after a day of touring, just too far to walk back to the main activities. Room was great, pool great, just wish they had a little tuk tuk to get you back and forth ......

I stayed here on 3 separate occasions for 12 days over a few weeks. The hotel is beautiful - there are lovely design touches everywhere and the surrounding gardens and pool provide a secluded haven. The manager/owner, David, is delightful and very hands-on. His love of the property shines though. The staff are all excellent and dedicated. The food (vegetarian plus fish) was delicious (breakfasts and dinners). The dining room is gorgeous with amazing ambience. The hotel is situated at the end of Soi 1, backing on to a canal. My comfortable room/s with lovely bathroom/s didn't face on to the canal but I liked the distant sound of the passing boats. Wifi was free and fast, a real plus. The location of Ariyasomvilla, less than a 5 minutes walk down the little Soi to Bumrungrad hospital - and it's peacefulness, beautiful surroundings and caring staff - make it the perfect place to recuperate. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you to everyone at Ariyasomvilla!

Room Tip: I had Room 306 (twice) and Room 410. Both are lovely - Room 410 is larger with a loft bedroom - it w...

A traditional Thai House with the addition of a more modern block with rooms, also decorated in traditional Thai style. Our first visit, but plan to return. Everything about this small hotel was excellent. The room was spacious and well furnished, the food delicious and service exceptional.
Central, but a good 20 min walk to the overhead metro line ( taxis are cheap )

We have stayed here 4 times. This is a nice small hotel at the end of a long narrow road, right beside the Bumrungrad Hospital (a must for annual health checkups). Rooms are well appointed, wooden floors and furniture, good amenities and very clean. Good AC and room has a fan. Nice glass elevator. Great salt water pool and jacuzzi. Lots of green - trees & plants. First time i stayed I did not realize there was no meat on the menu, David the owner is vegetarian and they have seafood and vegetables on the menu. The food was varied and fresh. Staff very friendly.

Room Tip: Room 210, 310 (and ones beside these) overlook the pool and have a small balcony with table and chai...
