“Quite simply superb”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2012 via mobile

An oasis of calm in bustling Bangkok this hotel combines tradition and modernity in a sublime manner to create a unique style of accommodation. Our room was beautifully furnished and immaculately maintained. Staff were discreetly helpful. Food in the restaurant among the best we've experienced in the city. Perhaps not the cheapest place to stay but one where, if you're willing to pay a little bit more you'll feel it was worth it - and a welcome change from the superficial 'luxury' of many larger, more expensive places. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 3 nights in total (2+1) at the start and end of a trip to southern Thailand. The ariyasom is full of character, fantastic accommodation, with a good restaurant to boot.
The owner takes personal pride in the service offered and is very helpful and hands-on with guests needs. There was a little building noise when we arrived on the first day but once mentioned we were immediately offered an alternative room for the rest of our stay. The spa services are also good here, a little more expensive than can be found on the street I Bangkok, but reliable and high quality.
Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend the Ariyasomvilla for anyone looking to be in the heart of the city, but able to retreat from the mayhem when needed.

Room Tip: Room 205 is a peach, and if you can run to the cost the duplex suite on the 4th is superb.

In the chaotic of BKK as anyone have been and experienced, you will find the distinction between a lay-back villa and the modern life just few hundred meters away. Located on the longest Sukhumvit, fortunately it is right at the back of Soi 1 so you will def. not bare any noise of vehicle from the main street, however, the water and the boat (i don't know if it's river or channel) at the back of the villa.
Let's not talk about the rate or service, because the architectural topic is the most important thing when you step in this place. One one to say for everything 'wonderful'! It's hard to describe in words coz there is tons of images for you to enjoy from this tripadvisor.

Room Tip: Room 208, so called 'owner room'

Excellent and stylish human-scale hotel, oasis of calm centrally located with Skytrain station 5-10 minutes walk and a canal boat pier even closer. Strongly recommend 4th floor suite overlooking the pool with two sitting rooms, well designed bathroom, second loo, and spacious bedroom up a staircase. Leisurely poolside breakfasts. Dinner in the restaurant was OK, but a shorter and more navigable menu might be an improvement. Hotel has been developed by modifying C20 traditional style house and adding on exceptionally well designed mod cons. Owner/managers highly visible and very helpful.
Would definitely stay again if revisiting Bangkok.

The best, or one of the best hotels in Bangkok? I have no idea, I haven't stayed in all of them to be able to tell, and rather than gush on about how wonderfull it all was which gets a little tedious if reading these reviews, I will just say I have no reason to disagree with anything that has already been said.

We had a perfect three night stay, We'd love to come back, and "Moo" was just about one of the loveliest people we met in Thailand during our three weeks.

Stayed in this lovely, stylish hotel for 4 nights and what a delightful experience it was! Staff were extremely friendly, always smiling and helpful. The hotel is extremely well located, tucked away down a little side street but within easy walking distance of Skytrain and many other places of interest. Breakfast was very good, with a wide and varied choice of food made to order.

Lovely boutique hotel. Rooms beautifully furnished. Fantastic breakfast made to order. Cakes and coffee good too. Very quite garden setting given it's in such a central location. Near sky train and shopping area and safe to walk to either of these no matter what time of day. Hotel is on friendly local street. Staff very friendly and great service all round. In walking distance to the Red Sky bar at Central shopping mall which has a great 360 view once the sun goes down.
