This hotel does the job, it was incredibly well priced with a deal from www.agoda.com. The bed was very comfortable, the place was clean and the staff who spoke English were very friendly and helpful where possible.

This is a budget hotel, with no frills or view, but if you're looking for a place to sleep for a good price it is clean and comfortable.

I would not recommend having ANY breakfast! The chips were sodden with oil and overcooked, they weren't able to cook a simple boiled egg (came out uncooked). Basically just very bad quality food in general!

It is well placed within Bangkok on Silom Road, up the road from Silom Village, and in the other direction you can reach the night markets and the famous Pat Pong. Make sure you check out Lumphini Park at the end of Silom Road. It is a haven of peace in the big bustling city and it's entertaining to watch the mass aerobics sessions at around 5.30pm and everybody stop and stand for the National Anthem at 6pm! Monitor lizards can be spotted in the lake swimming as well.

Room tip: Room 42 has the most comfy bed!

I didn't have high expectations for the Silom Avenue Inn because of the price and the location. The hotel is basic it has a fridge, cable tv e.t.c The decor is old and tired, the wallpaper is peeling off the walls, the bathrooms could do with an overhaul.
On the plus side it is set back from the main Silom Road so despite being in the center of town it is pretty quiet. The hotel is about 10 - 15 minutes away from Patpong Night Market and about 10 minutes from the nearest BTS station.
In summary if you want a relatively cheap base from which to explore the city and you are just going to sleep here then go for it. If you want the combination of a good location and a comfortable room where you can chill out, get ready for an evening out etc then this is probably not the place.

I stayed for a week in silom avenue inn and found the place very convenient for tourists.

Located right at the silom road and have easy access to shops, restaurants, atm etc... Rooms are very clean and maintained. There is a bus stop right next to the hotel, which makes it easy for travel to the city.

Booked this hotel last minute due to a change in travel arrangements. Small rooms, smaller bathrooms and wallpaper peeling off the wall. Staff were not very friendly but were more than helpful when extracting the hard earned for any little extra.

Room tip: The rooms are tiny and small corridors with a musty smell.
