On our last evening at the Pullman, we went to the Wine Pub, where you can have a vast array of hot and cold tapas, a selection of cheeses, or a full meal. It was terrific.
We were seated in a spacious booth, and lovely French baguettes and a mini appetiser of vegetable lasagne arrived almost immediately.
We had the assistance of the knowledgeable French manager, Remi, in selecting three cheeses from a vast array, accompanied by a bottle of Chateau L'Estang Castillon-Cotes Bordeaux ACC 2009 (1,600 Baht - $54 AUD).
I regret that we didn’t visit earlier to taste the vast array of tapas. A few examples – from the cold set – mixed Italian olives with EVOO, seared tuna with pesto, marinated feta with chorizo oil, Parma ham and manchego cheese, prawns and octopus with aged balsamic salad (set of 3 for 280 Baht, 6 for 520 Baht, 9 for 730 Baht). And from the hot set – spicy crab cake with oregano aioli, meat balls with smoky paprika, soft shell crab, grilled marinated eggplant with bean curd, prawns in garlic olive oil with dried chilli pepper and flamed with brandy (set of 3 for 380 Baht, 6 for 700 Baht, 9 for 980 Baht).
We will definitely be back on our next stay at the Pullman.
