We arrived in early morning, from the moment we checked in we were treated liked a valued customer even though we hadn't been there before.
We had a one bedroom apartment, that was kept spotless and clean by our great housekeeper. In the lobby lounge all the drinks,tea and coffee are complimentary.
The breakfast in the mornings at the lobby area was delicious and you could not find fault with it even if you tried! In addition to the amazing location of the property, just next to a variety of shops, cafes, supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants and bars. Big thanks for the amazing associates who made our stay really memorable and fabulous. We will never forget your smiles & kindness, certainly will be back, ( Ben & Youna / Suzhou, China)..More

Disappointed with Oakwood and inability to maintain their standards
I would like to write about my recent stay at the Oakwood Residence in Thonglor. We chose this property as it was the closest property we could find near to Samitivej Hospital. I was coming for my father’s operation. We initially booked a one bedroom with an extra bed and then we were going to move to a two bedroom after my father was released from hospital. First when I arrived the extra bed was not available and then I had to pay THB 1000 extra per night. This was not quoted to me at the time at the booking and I think it’s not fair that I was being charged extra for it.
When I got to the room, I was so disappointed. I have not seen such an tired room in a very long time. For the room rate, it’s not value for money. This is not what I expected from the Oakwood. Stains on all furniture, marks on the wooden furniture, old smells from carpet. The towels were so old they had become grey in colour, threadbare and falling apart. The bedsheets were also very old and over used. This kind of quality of accommodation was not what I expected from the Oakwood.
I stayed in a beautiful one in Singapore 18 months ago and it was a wonderful experience
The breakfast offering here in Thonglor was not impressive, again not for the rate we were paying.
Then the night I found a cockroach in the sofa was the moment I knew I had to leave. I was so horrified. The only thing I got in return from the hotel is no charge for the extra bed and early check out.
What also really upset me is that because I chose the Oakwood my Uncle and my friend also booked there to be with me, and I was so embarrassed by my choice and they had to experience this property because of me.
The staff were as friendly and as accommodating as they could be, but this property is old and in desperate need of a refresh and the owners and the Oakwood company need to pay attention. This property is not worthy of the Oakwood brand and is not worthy of the rates that are being offered, compared to what else there is in the market.
Needless to stay I have moved out, won’t be returning and I should have been offered further compensation for this very upsetting and unfortunate experience.

Lovely staff
Very nice staff at this property. Rooms are well equipped and VERY clean! Spacious en all amenities there that are needed. Washing machine very welcome and handy. 'Far' from the BTS but there is a tuktuk or just use a grab-bike. For a longer stay very recommended. Supermarket 20 seconds away and main street nearby full of bars/restaurants/shops/supermarkets/starbucks etc. Only con is the very hard bed perhaps. But then that comes to preference for every traveller.

Great location in Bangkok
We loved the location. Rooms were spotless and roomy. The staff we’re helpful and would go out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. A special mention to the staff at breakfast they were great. Would definitely stay again when we return to Bangkok. James Vos

Excellent stay
Booked a one-bedroom suite which was bright, clean and very roomy! Full kitchen, spacious living and dining areas, full bath. Staff delivered an extra bed for my daughter as soon as we arrived. Staff is extremely helpful, friendly and delightful! Full gym on roof and lovely rooftop pool.

Clean, ideally located
One bedroom suite was large and clean with full kitchen, full bath, roomy living area and dining area. Room was bright, lots of windows and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone spoke English (the only language I speak, unfortunately). Full supermarket immediately out the front door. Sky train a couple of blocks away and easy to navigate.
