I stayed here for 3 nights on the first part of my solo adventure around the world. I chose this hotel because of the roof terrace where i thought it would be a great spot to meet fellow travellers. I was very wrong about this! I spent quite a few hours each day up there and only saw staff from the hotel. The only people staying there at the time didn't speak English so maybe I was just unlucky but I did feel disappointed. Also the receptionist was so grumpy and this again tainted my stay at this hotel. On the plus side the room was standard and clean, no bed bugs or grizzly roaches to be seen so that was a bonus. Breakfast was sufficient and tea and coffee all day was a bonus. Location was good being away from Khao Sarn Road, but only by 10 minutes walk, so it was nice and quiet. Wi-fi in the room was good. I did feel it was expensive and having passed through Bangkok 6 times on my travels I have definitely stayed in cheaper places of the same standard but with a smile on reception!

We spent the first few days of our round the world trip here.
The accommodation was fine for the price. The breakfast was excellent, more than expected and the hosts were welcoming and friendly. The location was fine, it was down a side street but quite easy to get to and from to explore Bangkok. I would recommend Roof view if you are ok with basic. We ate alot at the restaurant on the corner at the top of the side street which is where alot of the locals eat. The food was really cheap and really tasty!
A great way to start our fab trip!

We arrived at Roof View Place at5am and the staff were really accommodating. Our room wasn't due to be ready until 1pm but as another couple checked out early, they made up that room for us for 8am. Breakfast was included and we got a great price for 3 nights. Breakfasts consists of fresh fruit, eggs, toast, cereal, sausages (Thai) and a local noodle type breakfast. Coffee and tea is available for free all day, as is the wifi.

The hostel is run by a lovely old lady who does the night shift. I got food poisoning during our stay and she sent up toast and crackers on a tray for me, from her personal food. The staff are very helpful.

Rooms are good, with TV, fridge, balcony, safe and hot water. Rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels and water in the fridge. Only downfall of the hotel is the fact that they don't have a lift. They do have a metal lift type gadget that will take your bags to your room for you, making staying on the 5th floor a little easier.

Location is great. It's a 5 minute walk from Khaosan Road and there's many restaurants nearby. We even got the public bus upto the weekend JJ market which was surprisingly easy. If you arrive late evening or early morning is recommend getting a Tuk Tuk to the hostel as it is a bit tucked away behind samsen street.

Great stay, would stay again if we return to Bangkok.

we stayed for 4 nights, family with 3 kids. took double and triple air conditioned rooms, close to each other. the place is very clean and organised. friendly staff supporting anything you need including tour recomendations. booked there airport big taxi and floating market tour and also loundry, was very good at reasonable price. note they do not have elevator and building has many floors, they do have luggage elevator which was good. location is great - 15 minutes walk from kahosan, yet far enough to enable quiet good night sleep as kahosan is very noisy and busy. also located in side street so very quiet. breakfast very basic but good, food prepared in open kitchen. taxi to city center not more then 100 baht even at busy times (3 bucks).

Room Tip: take rooms at 3rd floor (no elevator).

We stayed here for two nights. It's okay. It's certainly not a steal for the price but it sort of did the job. It's in a backstreet about 15 mins walk from Khaosang Lang. We were greeted by the grumpiest hotel receptionist I've ever met and she remained that way throughout, which was why we cut back from three to two nights. The room was fairly clean, Air Con worked, shower was ok. The breakfast was good with lovely smiley staff - just a shame the dragon on the front desk couldn't learn from them.

Overall it's alright but you can find better deals in Bangkok!

Great location in a peaceful soi about 10 mins walk from khao san road, with nice clean rooms and a fantastic breakfast. Pimm the lady who works on reception during the day was great, she was always available to help with anything we needed.

Room Tip: no one on reception after midnight

Good value for money, the rooms are quite spacious with all amenities working well. It has the attachment on the keys that you place in a slot next to the door for electricity so you must keep in mind when you leave and take the key this will shut down the fridge, so either disconnect the key only and leave the attachment in there so the fridge stays cool or don't put any perishables in there. The bed was also good and there is a little desk/vanity table. There is plenty of room for luggage. Also a nice little balcony. The location is good if your keen on visiting kho San road. It's a short walk over the bridge to get there about 5-10mins. The breakfast is plentiful with eggs, fruit, cereal, bread, jams and one changing Thai style dish. The staff are lovely and super helpful. The 'ladyboy' everyone talks about is ok. Sometimes a bit short but we never felt that she was particularly rude or nasty. Just not smily and chatty like the other girls. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
