I stayed for three days at this hotel 29-31 march, the hotel i normally stay at was full and i had not made a pre booking so the hotel referred me to citadines 23 at short notice. I arrived and they were ready and waiting as the hotel i normally stay at had sent all my details by phone prior to arrival.
The receptionist (jamie) was most helpful and pleasant and i could not fault the reception staff at any time during my stay.
I was allocated a room on the eighth floor, i hadnt realised that this was an apartment hotel and it was a pleasant supprise to find a sleeping area with a comfortable bed, and an area with a two seat divan, with a table in front of it, a television that could be slid along the wall to be viewed either in the bedroom or the seating area. the bedroom could be separated from the living area by sliding doors. The bed was very comfortable.
The hanging area had plenty of hangers, and withing that space was a combination safe big enough to take a laptop, also in this area was a small ironing board a seat and a steam irom.
The kitchen area boasted a hotplate stove, microwave . toaster , cutlery and crockery, all in all a modern area with nothing to have to ask for.
Just about the eighth floor via a small staircase is a small pool very adequate on a very hot day and if your into fitness a small but well apointed gym, pool towels are ready and waiting.
There is also a small laundromat and you can get washing powdeer etc from reception.
Houskeeping was great and refilled tea, coffee etc as needed, the lady servicing the room was very pleasant and i tipped her accordingly.
The dining room for breakfast on one morning was a bit busy and some tables had to be shared with others , but the food was good and the egg omelette persons very good at their job.
The only let down for aussies was the asian toaster, but dont let this put you off staying at this hotel because the asian toaster is the same in all hotels, actually when i made brown toast one morning one of the staff said oh youve burnt it too much and i had to explain thats how i like it..
If you dont want to walk to the sky train there is a tuk tuk service at regular intervals to take you and bring you back this was great, although most of the time i walked.. If all Citadines hotels are like this one i would stay again at any of them.
