Usually pop in for a lunch here on our visits when in the area. Nice ambiance and food good. A bit expensive though.
Usually crowded, but we were lucky to get a seat straight away or otherwise probably would not have waited.
If I was able to I would rate it as "good" because it does sit between average and very good.
Seems more popular with the Thai.
The staff do not seem that fluent with English which maybe causes service to suffer a bit.

Just visited the restaurant for lunch and was confronted by such horrendous service, the worst ever. To frame things in context, this is a place known for food and ambiance, offering decent value. During some trips I would make it a point to come several times before leaving.

However of late the quality of service and the wait time has been going from bad to worse and is probably hitting the lowest now. As a result during my last trip I only came once.

This trip I walked in for lunch and was made to wait for a table for 2 when there were ample tables all round. It seems to be their modus operandi to make customers wait or perhaps we were not wearing enough jewelry, hence won't be spending enough. Sadly we walked out after waiting 10 mins and after being shown some very rude behavior and attitude. From now one this place won't be on our list of 'to go to places' in Bangkok.

The upside, more exploring to discover new and 'humble' places and most importantly not having to pay for bad service and attitude. After all Bangkok is full or new places to be discovered. Happy hunting and good riddance to bad rubbish ...

Good to see this reaturant still standing after not having visited for over 10 years! Furnishings were a bit frayed at the edges, although it's theme is retro and Thai
Food is great and great value for money and yes it's predictable Thai but if that is what you are looking for then this is the place.

We had 2 dinners there while in Bkk and each time the bill came up to just over 1000 Baht ... and this inlcudes 4 - 5 dishes for 4 pax... which means great value!
Would recomend the Tom Yum, the pandan leaf chicken, the prawn cakes, and the spicy fish (which some of my dining compainions found a bit too spicy.

Service staff were obliging although it was tough trying to communicate with them as they neither spoke nor understood English. And don't expect any finesse as the serivce staff were happpily and nosily drying the dishes at the counter in front of the guests!

Would return

One of the popular Thai Restaurant located in Siam Square.
Wanted to try Som Tam Nua but it was crowded with local Thai youths. Conveniently located for people out shopping.

Typical Thai Favourites are available and the food is very touristy.

Menu comprises of Pineapple Rice, ToM Yam Goong, Papaya Salad, Thai Fish or prawn cakes, Chicken in Pandan Leave.

Service kinda sucks though, the service staff are neither helpful or provide good advice for the choice of food.

Worth a try for those who are not too adventurous when it comes to Thai Cuisine.

Price - Averagely pricey. Per head approx 400BHT for a complete meal of a group of 6 person with beverages excluding alcohol.

Worth mentioning, go opposite the restaurant to Mango Tango for good mango Thai Dessert.

Thank Lapi

Right on Siam Square, this restaurant has a very good location and is full of people especially for dinner. This was my first Thai restaurant in Bangkok, and I was not disappointed! Service is good and food is even better.
