“Great sushi rolls but not very Jap”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014 via mobile

Their food is delicious! But all their sushi rolls are pretty catered towards western tastes. Their signature sushi sandwich was really good but a bit too heavy and should be shared. Spinach appetizer was very good! Tuna and scallop sashimi were both very fresh but don't expect top quality.

Decent enough jap food but i don't get why there's always such a long queue!

“Master of Japanese fusion Roll”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2014

My all time favorite menus are Jackie, Volcano, Sushi Sandwiches, Spicy Salmon.
The resto is always packed. Reservation is needed.. (and you might have to reserve about 2-3 days in advance).. Without reservation , you will have to wait and starve till dead !

“Divine Sushi!!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

This is the best Sushi place me and my girlfriend have been to ever (and we've been to plenty sushi restaurants worldwide). We had to wait almost an hour for a table but I must say the wait was well worth (and I don't normally like to wait). The Oysters shooters were amazing. Don't let the picture of raw quail egg mixed with oysters and sake fool you. Once again it is amazing! The Jackie roll was delicious. The jellyfish and baby octopus as an appetizer was great. The sushi sandwiches were something just to try once. The tuna (Japanese) and salmon were amazing! We will be back!!!!!!!!!

“It's expensive”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2014 via mobile

I went to eat there and found it fully packed. So many people which is Ok, but it's so expensive compared to many other Japanese restaurants in BKK. I paid 1200 Bath and the next I went to another Japanese restaurant at MBK that is great and had more food for 339 Bath; so crazy.

“One of a kind”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2013 via mobile

In Bangkok you can assume that a restaurant with a super long queue is prolly a great one. So does Isao, always gotta wait around 30-60 mins to get the table. Nice fusion menu, try those special sushi rolls you can't find from other places ;)
