Just not to boring you too much please consider this hotel as very good place to rest after exhausting , whole-days sightseeing.
Hotel is perfectly situated. Just 5-10 minutes walking from Lumpinii MRT Metro station. Is very clean. Houskeeping is on very high standard. Hotel is in the distance of app 40 km from any of two local airports and taxi from Don Juang would cost app 450 THB.
Desk crew in the hotel is very helpfull regardles of the time of the day or night. Just opposite to the hotel is very convenient shop 7-Eleven, where you can buy everything , even hot Thai meal in the middle of the night. Please bear in mind that any alcoholic drinks are being sold between 11.00- 14.00 and in the evening 19.00 - 23.00.Variety of breakfast choice will makes you happy just on the beginning of each day. You will find local traditional food on breakfast apart of standard breakfast menu. Bathrooms are relatively big.
One drawback: Windows in hotel rooms are not open type. So it means you can not open them, At least on 7th floor. But do not worry. Aircondition is working perfrectly. But the question of the day is: is that neccesary to have openable window in Bangkok.

Room Tip: I would reccommend rooms on seven floor. Both lifts are very fast and quiet

We stayed here for 4 nights. We had a good stay, The senior management is professional and helpful but the reception and the restaurant staff seem frustrated either with the guests or their own jobs. Housekeeping staff is good and helpful. Staff at the Travel Desk/ tourist information desk in the lobby are amazingly good and hospitable.
The reception staff seriously need intense training on how to talk to guests. If you ask them something that they can solve or do easily without moving a limb - they will do it... BUT if you ask them for something which requires them to talk more or do running around then be ready to be insulted or face their frustration.
I guess the senior management needs to be more visible in the lobby and restaurants and train their staff members.

This hotel is close to all the gay places. Desk is gay friendly. They take IIDof visitors if you ask them to.
Lunch buffet is a good deal.
Clean place.
Too many group tours though
No pool. No gym
Some rooms may be too hot for you because of sun and lower power
I would stay there again
Basic but good

It seems that a lot of thought has been given to working out what minimal service can be supplied without affecting being able to tick the boxes.. I.e. tea and coffee making facilities enough for 1 cup of tea/coffee each per day. No hotel info in the rooms. No spare toilet rolls. Etc etc. If you need to know anything you have to ask personally rather than the usual for hotel chains of having a directory of services. In this hotel it would be a very short directory!
owing to the difficulty in getting dining info we eat elsewhere.very thin walls( I was Ken up by someone using the kettle.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel

Getting here by airport train/MRT is pretty easy from the Lumphini stop, Exit 1, although it's a bit of a walk if you have heavy luggage. Check-in was very easy, and the staff even provided me with the delivered train tickets I had bought online without my even having to ask (this speaks to the reliability of both their staff and the travel agency staff, I know). The young man who helped with checkout was more clear-headed than I was at 6:00 in the morning and was still polite when I had obviously misunderstood a question he asked me. I stayed here both on my way in and my way out of Thailand and wasn't disappointed either time. Ibis is generally reliable anywhere in East Asia (stayed in Seoul, Hong Kong and now Bangkok). Sure, sometimes other guests can be rude or loud, but that wasn't a problem here, and I stayed on the weekends. Sathorn is close to 7-Elevens, the MRT, and a shopping mall or two with a decent food court. Plenty of taxis and motorcycle taxis if you want them at any hour, although no driver was overly aggressive in asking if I wanted a ride.

We stayed here with my wife for 2 days. We hated it so much that we had to switch hotels.
1. Very noisy. You can hear people talking and having sex in all the rooms that surround you - above and below. The hallway doors are not silent, people are talking loudly in the hallways and we couldn't sleep because of it.
2. Very poor internet. The connection drops every 5 minutes and you have to type in your username and password again each time.
3. Poor sheets. The towels provided were with so many holes that it seems that they have been used 1000 times before us.
4. Very small rooms. I never had this strange feeling of claustraphobia.

It is clean, but all the above does not make this a family hotel nor a good place to sleep.

Thank you for your feedback and compliment on our hotel's cleanliness.
Please note that as ibis Bangkok Nana is located in a city centre, the city ambience is convenient
and attractive to some of our guests. For the family staying purpose, we would recommend ibis Bangkok Riverside that will provide you and your family with a more relaxed and quiet ambience.
We truly apologise for any inconvenience that might have caused during your stay with us. We
have noted your comments and informed our hotel management to improve and provide the better quality of service to our guests. At ibis, we aim at providing great services, great location at best value for money, that's why your comment is very important to us!
We hope to welcome you again at any ibis hotels in Thailand (Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Samui and Hua Hin) for another ibis experience!
