We booked the TENFACE Bangkok for an extended weekend trip to Bangkok, that comprised mainly of eating, shopping, relaxing and spa. It was our first time staying there and we really enjoyed it!

There were 3 of us so we booked the two bedroom premier suite, which gave us plenty of room and space to spread our stuff and shopping. The chic apartment was really, super spacious.

I had the bedroom with the queen sized bed all to myself, my fellow travellers (sisters) shared the other bedroom, with the king sized bed. We loved the good pillows and even more, the firm mattresses. One of them who had moved in from her earlier part of the Bangkok trip, from another 5 star hotel, enjoyed TENFACE tremendously and proclaimed that TENFACE offered her, her best sleep for her entire Bangkok trip! It was all just so comfortable.

The apartment offered us ample supply of drinking water in specially packaged TENFACE bottles (handy size for our handbags too!), and while we didn’t use most of the kitchen facilities (which included a dishwasher, stove, Nespresso machine and washing machine), we did use the kitchen to make ourselves hot tea every evening, to go with our fruits.

The TV channels in the apartment were adequate, we were news junkies so having CNBC and CNN etc were good enough for us. There was a TV in the living room and a TV too in each of the bedrooms. Awesome. The living room was spacious and comfortable, we had more than enough space to relax with our own tech devices, or our books.

The TENFACE stay came with a nice box of amenities, which included an extra set of toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, etc) an iPod loaded with music (which sadly we didn’t use cos we had our own), and a SIM card which we inserted into our spare iPhone.

This came in handy for all the local arrangements we needed to make (spa bookings, restaurant bookings) and especially so for when we needed to get the TENFACE Tuk Tuk to pick us up from the Ploenchit BTS station to head back to the apartment. It was literally like your personal pick-up service at your own beck and call – they came whenever we called for a pick-up and they dropped us off whenever we wanted to leave the apartment; they even dropped us at church (Christ the Redeemer church) just around the corner from TENFACE on Sunday for mass, and picked us up after too!

The box also provided us with a BTS one-day pass but we did not use that, so we returned it to the apartment. Why waste.

Breakfast was good at TENFACE’s Wanara Eatery too. Where other hotels would opt to provide a wide spread, the buffet here was not as extensive but they made up for it in quality. I particularly loved the good bread selection, well fried bacon which we had loads of (it was yummy!), grilled vegetables (very sweet), ham, sausages, the fried rice which was spot on, fresh fruits always great and the egg counter – chefs there do eggs well!

The fact that TENFACE provided us such convenient access to the BTS with its Tuk Tuk service, made up for the fact that it was not located (say) next to the shopping sky walk. Yet, the very fact that it was located away from the shopping mayhem however, gave me much respite. There was really only so much shopping I could take in, so I enjoyed the peace and quiet in the apartment and its location, much more. It was great for a chill out stay.

We also booked the airport limo service with the hotel (THB1,200 per way) for both ways and that was great to have, saved us much hassles with the regular public taxis.

I highly recommend TENFACE especially if you like to enjoy some privacy, comfort and chill-out space in your accommodations, during your trip to an otherwise, high energy Bangkok.

This is my second stay in TenFace Bangkok. The experience is as pleasant as the first one.

My first stay was in 2008, where they first opened. Back then the hotel was very new and the staffs were trying their best to give us excellent service. After 4 years, I am glad that they still maintain their hotel very well and everything was in perfect order.

Location:
This hotel is in a secluded lane near Ploenchit station. It is very far to walk, however, free Tuk-tuk shuttle was available 24 by 7. I appreciated their timely service when we call to get pick up from the BTS. The tuk-tuk driver are all friendly and always asked how's your day and make small talks, which makes us feel at home.

Hotel Room:
We were given the 1 bedroom suite, which is HUGE! there is a living room and bed room and the set up is very cosy. However it is a bit dark at night in the living room, as the lighting is not enough.

Breakfast:
More variety is definitely appreciated, especially on the meat and hot food.

Service:
TenFace has never failed to win me with their excellent service. From the moment we alighted from the taxi to the arrangement of tailor service to airport. Everything was taken care of very well.

Room tip: To get to the hotel from the airport, you can take a taxi. It cost < 300 + toll charges for a normal traffic ride.

Excellent Value For Money. That's how I sum up my 4 days 3 nights here. Tucked in the middle of an expat neighbourhood, this boutique hotel should stay as a gem and must only be made known to travellers who carry out extensive due diligence.

My wife and I find the following neighbouring spots valuable to our trip
a. the Holy Redeemer catholic church which is physically behind the hotel but requires walk out of the road to the hotel and into Ruamrudee. 8 masses on Sunday with 2 English masses.
b. the Touch spa - a clean and affordable spa a short complimentary tuk-tuk ride away.We went here twice
c. BTS Phloen Chit - its halfway between Siam and Asok

The staff are genuinely friendly especially the Tuk Tuk drivers and reception staff. The restaurant waiters are more reserved. I agree with the previous review where the breakfast buffet need more variation. Most guests are couples.

Of course, the room is what we loved the most. We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite which was the cheapest room type. A room of such size will cost 5 times the price in Kuala Lumpur.

Will stay here again!

I like Tenface so much that I'm finally going to write my first TA review.

Was in Bangkok with husband for 4D3N for our wedding anniversary. At first was a bit apprehensive with other reviews on the location of the hotel, but once I got there, I found that it was a no-issue at all. Had a bit of a trouble finding the direction of the hotel when we got off at the Ploen Chit BTS station, but a quick phone call solved it; just take Exit 4 and head towards Novotel hotel and wait for the tuk tuk.

The fact that the hotel was tucked away at the end of the soi of a nice, quiet neighbourhood is great after the hectic atmosphere on the streets of Bangkok. I loved the fact that after each tiring day of walking and sightseeing, I can look forward to a massage session at the massage parlour near Tenface, grab some snacks at 7 Eleven, and call the tuk-tuk to pick u up from there. So nice to wake up in the morning too overlooking the quiet residential area. Special mention to one of the tuk tuk drivers (I didnt get the name) who was always so helpful and friendly. Another plus point for me too is the fact that there is a Catholic church at the end of the soi so we didnt miss our Sunday mass.

Husband and I loved hanging out in the living room of our one room suite at the end of each day, certainly felt like it was home away from home. Would definitely stay here again. Value for money. Planning our return trip already!

Room for improvement: Provide retractable mirror in bathroom. Was tough trying to lean over the counter to apply makeup or provide better lighting at the entry area where the full length mirror is at.
Have a bit more of variety for breakfast.

Me and my friend decided to choose tenface for our bangkok trip after getting many positive reviews about this place. The location was a bit far from the shopping area, but there is tuk tuk and train around so it was still manageable. The day we check in, we got a very good impression of the hotel, its just like what I was told, the staff and everyone were friendly, the room spacious, the ipod and nepresso machine was fantastic. The staff explain everything to us and ask us about our plans in bangkok, so we casually told them we are going to tailor some clothes.
A while later, another staff came up to knock our door, he brought us a phamplet from the hotel and encourage us to go to this particular tailor recommend by the hotel to tailor our clothes. But we kindly rejected. Thus our nightmare begins, whenever we request for a tuk tuk to bring us out of the hotel, the staff will ask us and encourage us to go to the tailor that the hotel recommend. This happen everytime the staff see us at the hotel, when we went for breakfast, the manager ask us about the tailor. When we eat dinner, the staff ask about the tailor. Even when we ordered room service, they ask about the tailor again ! I am not sure if the staff get commission when they recommend anyone to the tailor, but I feel that they are over doing it. It seems that all the staff in the hotel know about us going to tailor our clothes. Anyway we did not tailor our clothes with the hotel recommended tailor.
During our checkout day, the attitude of the staff was terrible... We got the warmest welcome when we check in the hotel and the coldest good bye. The hotel is nice, but pretty inaccessible by cab, many drivers do not know the location of the hotel. The buffet breakfast is very average so is the room service. Our toilet flush is not working very well, nothing much was done by the hotel except to ask a lady to manually pump the toilet, which get stuck again the next time we used it. I will rather pay more for other hotel than to go back again.

Room tip: request for high floor
