“The BEST Fried Chicken in Thailand”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2012

Yes, really! Had a fantastic evening here with friends. The setting is very basic but the food was delicious! Anything you order is delicious, the beer is cold and cheap - the whole bill for 8 of us was ridiculous (200 baht each) and we ate and drank a LOT! You MUST order the fried chicken!

“A Bit Overrated”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012

It's okay, but really nothing special. The white meat portion is particularly dry, and actually crumbles a bit. I understand it used to be much better, but now I prefer any roadside stand that sells Hat Yai-style fried chicken.

“Crispy skins on a rainy night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

Brilliant fried chicken.

The chicken is very well marinated and thoroughly cooked so there is no 'blood-water' or funky gamey smell, just delicious white meat and crispy skin topped with lots and lots of fried garlic.

Remember to order the famous Thai green papaya salad, their version is one of the best I've tried in Bangkok

I ordered a small basket of sticky rice, traditional Issan staple to go along with the meal.

Imagine gently tearing off a piece of white meat and skin and fried garlic, pair it with some sweet and spicy chili sauce, crunchy and fragrant green papaya and finally mop up some of that lime juice from the papaya salad for a bit of acidity with the sticky rice and pop it all in your mouth.

The flavors are robust and dynamic, really really awesome meal.

Will definitely eat there whenever I'm back in Bangkok!

“Good cheap food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2012

Had our last dinner in Bangkok at Soi Polo Fried Chicken, and it was very good!

Portion was huge (if you order the chicken, you either get half or whole chicken) and I should of shared the half chicken with my husband! But it was so tasty that I ate the entire (well almost) thing anwyay!

One girl working there spoke english, and the menus are in thai/english.

Only thing I suggest is to have a map with its location before you go here. We took a taxi from our hotel (in Sukhumvit) and should of known it was a random location as the guy at the front desk didn't seem to sure of the street it was on, and then our taxi driver got lost for about 15-20 minutes! He stopped a few times asking police and locals, and all of them except one had no clue where this street was!

Great place to go for a quick and tasty meal!

“Great lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2012

A friend recommended we try this place before leaving Bangkok. Got there for lunch on our last day. No trouble ordering a whole chicken a large bottle of beer and a salad on the side. Cost under $10 Australian. The flavour was great. The restaurant is kept clean and was well patronised.
