“Convenient!”
Reviewed January 31, 2010

It's located very near to lotsa night markets & the train station. But we didnt took the train at all, because taxi rate are fairly priced. (sometimes you can bargain the taxi fare too, but not always). So, I would say taxi is very convenient. Just have to bear in mind with the massive traffics around during peak hours. we were stuck once for 2.5hours in a regular 20min distance road.

hotel service is great. a pc at the lobby area for online. and wifi reception in the hotel rooms as well. Snacks are also provided at the lobby. We never have to bother about our breakfast. Not to miss out that there's an awesome coffee machine at the lobby for your hot drinks all day long. i love the hot chocolate.
Heapsa 7-11 convenient store around the area. Nearest one is 3min walk away from the hotel. Hot snacks, sausages and heapsa good food.

A fair price hotel that i would definitely RECOMMEND!!!

Been there for 4 days in January 2010. It's a small hotel, not very easy to find it at the first moment, so it's a good idea to print the map provided in their website and show it to your taxi-driver. The location is excellent, 3 min walk to the Silom Skytrain station, but no noise at all.
The hotel is very clean. Room not very spacious, but OK (get a superior room if you can). Safe box in the room, also.
The communication (in English) with the staff can be difficult occasionally, but they are really helpful and kind. Light breakfast is provided and is good (coffee, juice, bread, jam, butter, crackers, bananas) but in a small room between the lobby and the elevator (could be improved).
Just a final tip: make sure that you have enough cash (Baht) when you arrive there, because you have to settle the bill when you check in and they do not accept credit cards. There is an ATM just at the corner, though.
Overall, I recommend it.

As it was my first time in Bangkok, Inn Saladaeng was a convenient point to explore the busy city. Location is by far its greatest asset, it's within walking distance to the Skytrain (Sala Daeng) and the MRT Subway (Si Lom). The skytrain hooks up with the Chao Praya ferry two stops down.

My room was very clean. I stayed in a single room and paid 1200 baht a night. It was over the New Year's period. The room was quite small, but very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and bed was soft. The staff are very nice and will do their best to answer any questions you have. They also have free wi-fi from your room.

They provide light breakfast in the morning (tea/coffee, toast, light sandwiches and bananas). There's a coffee machine and biscuits/cookies available 24hrs.

From the airport at taxi should cost about 350 baht and 40-50 minutes.

This hotel is small but very clean. Location is excellent. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Room is a little small but I have a single room, it is still comfortable. Bed is good. Service is very fast. Coffee machine at the lobby....MMM good coffee. Light breakfast is good too. If you like, there is a restaurant right around the corner they serve pancakes and chicken teriyaki rice. I have nothing to complain about but good things. I could stay at a bigger hotel, but they only treat you as a number. At Inn Saladaeng, they treat you as a person. This Inn is home away from home. I will no doubt go back again. Try to go to Pinky Body Care on the opposite side of the Saladaeng Road toward Silom Road. They have great facial treatments.

The hotel is pretty near to the BTS. Maybe 3 mins walk and the surrounding is quiet but safe. There are a few restaurants located along the same street.

Light breakfast is provided and there is even a water dispenser on the first floor. So you need not buy your own water. There is a computer for you to use on the first level.

Room is small but clean and decent (I stayed in a single room). Staff is quite friendly but don't expect to smile always.

The staff manage to get a big cab for us to store our 12 luggage for only THB600.

I will stay there again. :)

It's true that this hotel has no facility at all (no swimming pool nor gym), not even breakfast served during my stay (according to their website, they provide free light breakfast now: sandwiches, bun and fruit only), but in such a low price, I don't mind to go out for breakfast. You have to use the key card to open the main entrance door at night, so safe!! Some people commented that the street is quite dark at night, but I don't think so (I am a girl). Its location is wonderful, only 2 minutes walk to both Saladaeng BTS station and Silom MRT station!! Silom night market and pubs are just opposite to the Silom Road. The famous Zanotti restaurant and Aubergine restaurant are in the same Saladaeng street within 2 minutes and 8 minutes walk respectively. Free wireless internet in rooms. In such a low price, it's really a good choice! If u travel alone or with one partner only, remember to book a Superior Room instead of single room or standard room (single room & standard room were even too small for me... I am a tiny Asian girl!). This hotel and rooms are so colorful and bright lighting. I definitely will come back to this hotel if I go to Bangkok alone again!
