“paper thin walls and poor attitude”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

To be fair, my first night was great. A friendly welcome and quick check-in. Room clean, size (small) not a problem to me but could be if 2+ travelling. It was on my second (last) night that I discovered that the walls are paper thin and it's a matter of luck if you avoid getting disturbed. Three unaccompanied under 10's were put into the room next to me. The adults travelling with them were put four floors below and there was one hell of a noise from the children jumping around. At 1.30am, I approached the staff downstairs and was told that he did not want to have to tell "Chinese" to be quiet. Disregarding that I'd already made reference to the noise, twice, earlier as well. At 2.15, I'd had enough and checked out. deciding to go to the airport and find somewhere to relax seven hours early. The hotel staff would know how thin their walls are and so pay even more attention to allocating rooms for children. In expressing my concerns regarding the quality of performance of their staff, I also sent an email asking what would have happened with these children in the case of an emergency. No reply has been given. The location of the hotel is good though you should heed the numerous signs warning of pickpockets at night. There are there for good reason. It is a fair enough expectation that once a hotel knows that there are unattended children in a room without immediate access to responsible adults, that they should act. The hotel could not care less. Never, ever again.

Room Tip: There is work being done next door and the paint fumes may disturb some. So, make sure you have a ro...

The hotel is perfectly located: close to city train, local trade centres, etc. The staff is friendly and ready to help. I found the room a bit small, the room features would be refreshed. A good place to stay for a couple of nights.

Price is justified by location.
room was clean and comfortable, but nothing special or charming.
Bathroom was clean but it was really basic.
Our room had nice views and it was in a very relaxed alley, and for bangkok, that's a lot to say.
Brakfast couldn't be considered breakfast, just some cookies and free coffee.

Excellent hotel with brilliant location perfect for our 3 night stay. The hotel is located right in Silom perfect for transport anywhere in the city with both the MRT (underground) and the BTS (sky rail) within easy reach.
The hotel itself is very nice, the staff are excellent and very helpful. The rooms have everything you need for a short stay in Bangkok, clean, fridge, TV, A/C and very quiet. Also free wifi everywhere in the hotel, very good signal throughout.
There is a small breakfast available each morning toast with butter and jam, tea/coffee and fruit. Perfect to get us started for the day.
It is also very good value and a great base for exploring the city. Really good night market Patyong gets going about 8pm-1am and only across, perfect for gifts, cheap clothes, knock offs etc.

Tip for getting there -
We would have found these helpful when we arrived although we did manage to find it pretty easily.
Fom the main train station (or panywhere else on the MRT line) take the MRT (underground) to Silom (cost about 40Bhat) who you arrive follow the exit no 2 for Salandeng and BTS. When you get to the top of the escalator turn right and down a few steps and follow the road and take the first left marked Salandeng (just after a few banks etc) continue 200/300 meters on the left side of the road and you will see the orange sign for the hotel on the corner, turn left and you are there.
Don't be tricked by a Tuk Tuk driver it's only 2/3mins walk from the MRT - easy!
On the BTS (Sky rail) get off at Saladneg use exit number 2 keeping to the left and down to street level follow the road up (against the traffic) for 300/400 meters and turn right at 7eleven. Continue 200/300 meters on the left side the hotel.

We had 5 rooms here and were very happy with our choice. It's a cute hotel located in a great quiet location just off Silom road. The front desk staff is wonderful, the entire hotel is decorated very nicely, AND there's a free espresso machine in the lobby!! Excellent perk. All rooms seem to be different so maybe look at a couple before deciding on your favorite. We will be back. Thanks Saladaeng!

Spent few nights here back in 2009, hopefully still valid for now. Location is excellent, within walking distance to skytrain and subway stations. Not far away from Suan Lum Night Market as well. It is obviously not luxurious, just sufficient if you are looking for a clean and good place to sleep / rest after spending the day travelling around. Didn't have the chance to taste breakfast, or Wifi, so not much comment on those.

Our family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights. Our rooms (standard) were small and slightly claustrophobic. All 3 toilets had an unpleasant smell. The staff were helpful and the location was great. Check out SomTum Der, just a minute from the inn.
