“Variety taste of Thai food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

A great experience to taste many different dishes of Thai food. They offer dishes from different parts of Thailand. The food serving size is small, it's right size to try many dishes. The fresh juice selection is great. The food value is higher than price. If you want to try, the price and food serving is different from lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, check before you go.

“Civilised elegance in the midst of the hot sweaty city”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013

I have been wanting to go to the tea room for years - every since I walked past once, on the walkway, which goes over the shrine.
It was worth the wait - whilst its not too relaxed, it has a nice elegant ambience, which was welcome in the midst of a mall in the city. Unfortunately I had awful wisdom tooth pain, so was not able to enjoy the meal (let alone my whole stay in Bangkok....) as much as I had wanted to. However the service was excellent, the quality of food was divine (excellent salads) and generally it was a divine place to sit for an hour or so. I loved the furniture ( a bit Frank Lloyd Wright!) and the little things for sale is a nice touch.
I liked also that one of us could have a salad, the other a cake and another coffee, at any time of day. It isnt cheap but I think given the location and quality of service and food it is surprisingly good value.

I'd recommend this place again and again....!

“the gourmet highlight of my trip!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

This was the best meal and dining experience of my 4 day trip. Very nice interior and the staff were fantastic. If you are new to Thai food and a bit unsure of yourself, this is a great place to try a few things, or just stop for an iced tea and a dessert. If I'm in Bangkok again I will make a point of booking in for their afternoon tea - which according to LP, ranks in the worlds top 7? (Easily accessible from BTS Chit Lom)

“Really nice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

Tearlike are becoming more popular in Bangkok, and this one is really good. Again, the service is friendly and the menu is good. There are a nice selection of teas and it is a fairly quiet location

“High Tea as it Should Be”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

Nothing can be said that matches the timeless charm of English-style high tea. And this is perfectly represented at the Erewan Tea Rooms. Sedate and genteel the Tea Room is the perfect place to banish the stresses of the day.
Reminiscent of the British Raj, don't let that put you off, the fair here is dainty but unforgetably delicious. The range of teas is vast.
You will believe that you have been invited to Lady Docker's town house for a pre-tiffin refreshment.
