Within a few hours' drive, we were transported from bustling Bangkok to the sleepy coastal town of Chathaburi. We met Thanawut from SiamRise Travel who shared their company philosophy of responsible and community based tourism. We also met Art, our tourist guide, Wat, our tour coordinator, and Winai,our skilled driver.
Not only was it a gastronomic adventure, the two-day trip was an insightful one. We interacted with locals who shared their passion for their produce from local agriculture to aquaculture. We loved hearing their stories, learning about their way of life and they were curious about us too.
This trip is suitable for up to 6 people, so it'll be a fun trip for a group of hungry friends and family.
We had an excellent tour with Good tonight, we toured a few temples and then headed into china town for a selection of tasty street food dishes. We tried at least 5 (I lost count) and he was great with us of our two kids. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his tour.

The walking tour with Bow was a progressive dinner style tour through Chinatown's nightmarket, wherein we had one dish at eight or so kiosks. It was a great way to try a lot of specialties of Chinese-Thai cuisine and I appreciated having an expert (and Thai speaker) to help navigate the market. We ended with a rooftop beer at a locals only place overlooking the river and nighttime Bangkok sky. Great tour if you are crunched for time in Bangkok or wish to be adventurous but aren't sure where to start.
Side note - nothing of the food was too weird (i.e. no crickets or squid or anything of that nature), pretty straightforward pork, cabbage, noodles, fruit variations for any picky eaters out there!
