Had a two night stay here, over the weekend. Modern interior, airy spacious lobby, but most importantly, the room I had was comfortable, quiet, and modern design with thoughtful use of what is a smaller room than most of the upper market hotels I've stayed in. Soft closing doors, carpeted passageways after all the tiled lobby areas - means little disturbance from other guests and their antics. I liked how the wall separating bathroom from bedroom moves aside - giving one stop bed to bath, if you are that way inclined. My room overlooked Rama IV and Chamchuri Square - the other side from Surawong Road. Staff couldn't be more polite and helpful. Breakfasts in Latest Recipe offered a good choice. Handy for Patpong market as well as the nightlife in that area of Silom/SalaDaeng. Only disappointment was when checking in at 11pm and being told quite firmly that I couldn't have anything later than noon check out 2 days later as hotel was 90% capacity for that night. At least I could shower and change in the spa/gym area before my late night flight out of Bangkok. Le Meridien, take note what Novotel is doing - a one day stay really does mean 24 hours.More
