My wife and I stayed at Nasa Vegas as it was our first trip to Thailand.The staff were very helpful and gave us lots of information on places to visit. The rooms were well decorated considering the cost and we felt that we got good valued for money staying here.
This Hotel is very good location and takes few step to Skytrain.

My friends and I booked this hotel after reading all these reviews and while many of them suggested racism, differentiation etc etc...fearing the worst (despite being Indians), we went ahead with the booking primarily because of it's proximity to the train station. Thankfully, there was no differentiation, we were promptly given a room at the promised price and were treated with respect. Everything was perfect - except until we entered the room. It's many a times hard to believe that something that could look good from outside turns out such a contrast inside. They were smelly with creepy beds (we hoped we could get through the short 12 hour duration of our stay)..the bathroom was a joke - the bathing area is the bath tub itself (imagine to take a shower you have to step inside and stand in the bath tub). The room service - what was that again? I thought they meant self service! I definitely wouldn't ever go again and for anyone who has an ounce of class in them - i'd strongly suggest to avoid it
The Nasa Vegas has seen better days. My last stay there will be my last stay! The room was dusty and smelly. When I entered the room, there was a heavy smell of unwashed bodies. I told the bellhop in sign language by holding my nose and saying "mak mak" (a lot) He said no problem, opened the window and turned the AC on full. The smell disappeared but the dust and noise of the city arrived. And this was on the 17th floor, away from the train tracks. But as a plus, I was treated to the sound of Karaoke bars until the wee hours. The best English speaking TV news channel was Al Jazeera.
The food in the restaurant was not very good. The service was even worse. At least the soggy fried rice didn't come with an attitude.
There are more negatives to be said about this place, like the deposit scam, but I think that you get the picture. For a few baht more, there are nice budget hotels all along Sukhumvit.
Goog value in the sense of amenities rooms are a bit small with not much natural day light. Make sure you get the side without the skytrain noise. Easy to get to the airport and city centers.
We always stay here firstly when in BKK its an out of the way hotel but good place to stay if you like the Ramkhamhaeng rd area ,public transport close by .The hotel itself has many different levels of comfort be wary of what you buy some are old where as some are modern ,if you are given a key card its a new room ,if its an actual key its an old room
A lot of noise from the trains but ask for a room away from this not a hassle really ,you get what you ask for ,staff friendly and easy to communicate with ,cozy rooms but no bed sheet only a doona so you have to turn the aircon up higher to accomodate for this a bit silly really ,nice breakfast cheap and cheerful hotel $40 aus is cheap considering you wouldnt get bus sheltr for that price in Australia ,another good touch is that the bellboys will store your suitcases for you for a few days if you decide to explore BKK ,ive stayed here for more than 35 times and have no complaints really...GREG
