I went with a group of Thai friends, having also tried many excellent Japanese restaurants in Bangkok on other trips. Kisso has recently been renovated and offers excellent contemporary Japanese cuisine. We went for lunch as the lunch offers are very reasonably priced. For example you can get a tempura bento box for around THB500 or GBP10. Wine and Sake costs about the same, but warm and cold green tea is also on offer.
We had a selection of dishes from a salad of fish prepared as Japanese ceviche, panko breaded wagyu beef, chicken in delicious curry sauce, sashimi, followed by a desert of plum wine jelly and sake sorbet - all was very delicious and indulgent without being too filling so you can walk away with a clear conscience diet-wise. Private dining rooms are available.

I have been staying in Thailand for five months now and discovered Kisso Japanaese restaurant at the Westin Grande Sukumvit just yesterday. My Thai friends read about it and recommended it to me so I went there and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance is fantastic and that is a large part of the dining experience. I ordered the Tori Miso chili sauce Zen along with the Pork Shabu Shabu salad and my friend ordered the Mentaiko Korimus Udon. These were set lunch meals and very reasonably priced, generously proportioned allowing sharing and tasting which is what I enjoy most about dining out. I have tried several Japanese restaurants in Bangkok and can say with complete confidence this is the best of them all. I highly recommend Kisso Japanese Restaurant for authentic Japanese food in a traditional Japanese environment. Go and enjoy.

Decided to try lunch as new place at the Westin in Asok. Warm welcome with refreshing melon sparkling moktail. Seafood was so tasty and melted in your mouth. Selection of prawns tempuras was so light and good. Eel rolls with goose liver were perfect. Scallops and snow fish grilled perfectly.
Impeccable service from the staffs the entire meal. Well done for a new place in town. Will be back. Love the sake jar decoration at the entrance. Great.

Teppanyai buffet every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The price is acceptable and you get what you expect, good Ingredient, good beef, Fish, shrimp and etc. however some of the chefs are not that professional. The cooking process is not so good so the Teppanyaki taste is not really good.
