This is the kind of places you can find only in Thailand and especially in Bangkok. Oishi Grand is the brother of Shabushi, quite very popular and easy to find everywhere in the Thai capital.
Oishi Grand is more hi-so, looks more luxury.
Food in general is great, mostly Japanese with a touch of Thai. Service is good, they are most of the time busy so do not expect that they will have time to chat with you but always with a smile.
Good place to be with friends and with you beloved one. Great choice of cold, hot dishes, drinks, desserts as well ice creams including a selection of cheeses.
Globally, it is a good place for the money you pay. You will be not disappointed except if you are expecting a five stars service...

Can't beat this place on value - 395 baht per person (around £17 for the two of us, including drinks). It's a flat fee and for that you get free range of the sushi buffet and a steaming cauldron of broth into which you can poach various meat and vegetable options circulating on the belt. The food was generally very tasty - we particularly enjoyed the gyoza pork dumplings and salmon sushi. Weren't so sure about the do-it-yourself broth pot deal, but clearly it's very popular amongst local patrons. We did have to wait for about 20 mins to be seated but this was dinner time on a saturday and everywhere seemed busy. They operate a very efficient argos-style ticket based queue system which worked well. All in all a cheap, clean, quick (once you're seated!) and tasty place to grab supper.

The choice of food is not bad, if you don't compare to hotel buffet. They offer choices of sashimi,  sushi, tempura, salad, some hot dishes and cook stations for pasta and grilled dishes (like prawns, pork chop, steak and vegetables). All you can eat incl soft drinks, coffee and desserts at about USD30@.  The service is pretty good and they can communicate good enough in English.  However, don't expect really good quality Japanese food.  I think the sashimi is ok but sushi is rather marginal.

By the way, the location is easy to find. 2/F in the Siam Discovery Centre. The place is clean and tables not too packed.  So it's a convenient place to have a big meal.

I was taken there as a surprise. I was not sure what to expect. I was totally overwhelmed by the type of service and the organization. There are many Japanese in town however this is a real special Japanese and one should definitely consider trying it. I went there three times in a period of 10 days. I love it. I recommend it.

We have just been in the restaurant and had a great dinner. It was full so we had to wait 15 minutes for a table but it was well worth it. For 750 Baht (About 19-20 Euro today) you have all you can eat and non alcoholic drinks. The variaty is pretty good and one of the best we have seen so far. Sushi is of grat quality and made fresh all the time.

My girlfriend loved the fish and i loved the meat (Steaks etc.) and the Squid. The Squid was one of the best ones i have eaten in my life.

Only the desert could be improved. The Cakes dont taste good and there isnt much to choose. Atleast the Ice cream was very delicious.
