I have just returned from my stay at the Han she Business hotel located in the Ximending Shopping District. It is located just off along Cheng Du road down a small alley way between Olympia Bakery and Taipei Milk King Restaurant.
Nearby the hotel is a Family Mart, Seven Eleven, Mac Donald’s and Kentucky Fried Chicken.
The hotel is short walk from Ximen Station (about 5 minutes)which is directly down the road. It is also close to the entertainment and shopping XimenDing district.
The hotel is in a quiet area and you are not disturbed by traffic or street noises.
The hotel reception is located on the 4th floor. The 1st floor is the entrance from the alleyway and the 2nd and 3rd floor can not be accessed. In reception they security cameras that they watch who is coming and going. Upon arriving back to the hotel each day our key would be waiting at reception for as they would see us coming. The hotel is very safe and secure.
The hotel has great ambience with nice marble floors and counters and rose wood furniture.
Upon checking into this hotel we were given our rooms which were standard size rooms (a little small) I had booked from their website a Luxurious room so I went to reception and told them so they showed us to another room which was a little larger and stated that because we had arrived late there where no luxurious rooms available. I asked if we could move when one became available. About 5 minutes later they then moved both my parents and my husband and I into a large luxurious room that I had booked off the website. The rooms were located on the 5th floor and were 602 and 603.
I recommend if you stay you ask for a room ending in 02 or 03 as these are larger rooms. Also be a little persistent if you need to be till you get what your happy with.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful during the entire 7 days stay. One of them spoke English and the others spoke a few words of English.
All rooms are air conditioned but when you leave your room daily the staff turn the air conditioner off and upon seeing you arrive back they will turn it back on it takes around 5 minutes for the room to cool so there is no problem. I’m guessing this is to save on electricity in the hot Taipei weather.
Facilities in the room were tea making facilities, refrigerator, TV with cable channels, toothbrush, mouthwash, dental floss, comb, soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, tissues, toilet paper and water was provided daily for free. Two Bath towels were also provided and changed daily and two bath mats however there was no face washer.
The bathroom contained a bath only with no shower curtain so upon taking a shower the water would go everywhere on the floor and counter top however the bath mat solved that problem.
Some of the rooms have only a shower and no bath.
There was plenty of closet space and drawer space.
Each day you would collect your breakfast coupon from reception and proceed to the restaurant located downstairs next door the "Taipei Milk King" - Breakfast was choice of tea or coffee (ice or cold), toast, ham and egg. I check the price of this breakfast on the menu and it was normally 50 NT but for hotel guest at Han She it was free with the coupon.
The hotel was safe, secure clean, comfortable and the staff very helpful. Everything was cleaned and changed daily. The room was a decent size and easy to move around. For the price of 1880 NT a night it was a great deal and I would recommend staying in this hotel.
