didnt stay there as we just wanted to have a expreience of hot spring. so we choose this as it is near the xinbeitou mrt. and it looks clean among all, went to walk in directly to asked the price which was charged NT1650 (90mins) for 3pax . extra person if not wrong some charges added. and orginal price shld be NT1920 and there is some promo goin so discount NT270. the single tub was fully booked so we chose those with 2tub slight ex.

After the soaking we went to the dinning area to have some tea break which cost NT 300 come with few dish like steam chicken, pau(bun) tea, plate of few small tea time food. we orderd 1 even we got 3pax, cuz out intention is jus to fill stomach. after that we head to 7-11 which opp MRT tw big 7-11 is awesome they have those dumpling and xiao long bao and etc taste so yummy.

SweetMe Hotsprings offers a great overall experience. The facility is clean and welcoming and the rooms are larger & more comfortable than most other resorts. The hot spring water is fresh, invigorating and stimulates your senses.

After the spa experience, we dined in the resort restaurant and had a simply delicious meal fit for a king. The roast chicken was good as some of the best Peking duck I have tasted. Dish after dish delighted the taste buds and the sauces complimented many of the fine courses especially the stir fry scallops. In my opinion the sous chef is a skilled chef capable to tantalize even those with a very discriminating taste. Bravo!

The Sweetme Hotsprings Resort has a well trained and attentive staff, especially the first class service in the Restaurant.

A truly memorable experience.

This is a public and private hot spring. Public is separate male and female. We did the private as we didn't want to be separate. The hot spring rooms have both hot and cold baths, which is a bonus. Going straight from the hot to cold feels great. Staff are very friendly and the price is very reasonable compared to what others were charging that didn't have hot and cold baths either. NT$900 for 90 minutes. You can also combine with a lunch and dinner package (we didn't). Location is great 2 minute walk from Xinbeitou station directly opposite the hot spring museum. Great experience and would go back to this one again.

Sweetme Hotsprings resort is located a short walk from the Xinbeitou MRT. The resort is centrally located and it faces the lovely public park with a spring running through it. The water running through the sping is hot and you can see vapour swirling from the spring as well as the drainage in and around the park.

Try to stay over on a weekday. You get a better room rate and the facility is less crowded. I visited the public hotspring on a monday morning at 10.00 am and I had the hotspring all to myself muhahaha!

The hotel's environ include the Taipei Hot Springs museum, the Beitou public library (a ship like looking building which is quite of out place), a public hot spring, the Beitou Thermal Valley (free admission) and a number of eateries.

Further out, the Yangmingshan national park is about 20 mins away by public bus (numbers R230 and S9).

Likes:
- great location
- large room
- your own hot spring tub although your stay includes a complimentary pass to their public hotspring, which is worth a visit as it includes a rain spa!

Dislikes
- room (9002)and bathroom needs a makeover -- celling paint has cracks
- breakfast spread is mediocre and the dinner menu is rather pricey (hence the importance of having eateries in the hotel's vicinity)

Our travel agent booked us into this hotsprings resort for our first day in Taipei and it was a pleasant surprise. We wish we could have spent more than one night here!
Arriving at the hotel in the evening, we immediately felt relaxed. The design of the resort is reminiscent of Japanese ryokans but of course it is not as intimate as those small family-run inns. The mood is warm and inviting, with soft lighting and minimalist furnishings.
What we loved about this place is that every room had a huge tub with hotspring water directly pumped in. This means that those of us who are too shy to bare it all in the public bath can reap the benefits of a good soak in the privacy of our own room. We don't read Chinese, so we had to play guessing games at which faucet turned on which kind of water (and temperature!). The bathroom is designed like a traditional Japanese bath, complete with a low shower, stool and wooden bucket. We get the idea that people would just book themselves into this resort simply to enjoy the hotspring facilities. The bedroom itself is spacious and very comfortable. The large window is great for observing the street below while sipping tea.
Service is average at best. The few front desk staff who spoke English were helpful but that's about it. They didn't blow us away with the service, but just as well. We enjoyed our privacy. The breakfast buffet is nothing to write home about. Although in retrospect, it was much better than the other breakfast buffets we had at other Taiwan hotels. If you are concerned about tour groups taking over the hotel, fret not. Those who stay here are mostly local families and couples. Anyway, this is a boutique hotel (it has less than 50 rooms) so it never gets crowded.
If you're thinking of making this your base in Taipei, we say go for it! We wish we did. Xinbeitou is not that far from downtown. The MRT is so easy to use and it takes at most 40 minutes to travel from Taipei Main Station. Unlike the other resorts in Beitou, Sweetme has the advantage of being very near the restaurants and grocery stores in the neighbourhood. There is a cosy coffee bar next door that locals seem to like as well as a handful of 24-hour convenience stores just across the road. We didn't have to worry about noise and crowd as Beitou is a sleepy neighbourhood. The Hotspring Park is also right opposite the resort, as is the lovely Beitou Public Library.
Although we were shy about baring all in front of complete strangers, we wanted to check out the public bath. The baths are seperated by gender and even the spa rooms are designated to male and female floors. Inside the bath area, there are a couple of spacious hot tubs with temperature controlled water, whirlpools, jacuzzis, a sauna and steam bath. There was none of the cheesiness that other hotsprings resorts seemed to have adopted. The mood and decor in the public bath is rather serious. As in, the other bathers seem to take the ritual rather seriously. This must be a sign that this resort is considered a top choice for hotspring aficionados!

We stayed in Sweetme for a Convention. The Convention was actually held in Yangmingshan but there are not many hotels up in the mountain. We are not spa people and we would not have stayed here otherwise. The hotel and its staff are pleasant. The decor is a little tired, but clean. Taipei had unsually cold weather (coldest in decades!) when we arrived and our room was freezing. There is no heating. Instead the air condition was on. It was warmer outside the hotel than inside. Luckily the weather warmed up over the next few days. Breakfast - OK; nothing to salivate over. Dinner - we had a Chinese banquet dinner one night & it was delicious.

I thought being a spa hotel, it would be in the countryside. But the Xinbeitou area is very built up. The only green area is along the stream in front of the hotel. This stream has hot spring water. Many hotels are located along this stream. Besides the hotels along this stream, the area is very commercial. Many businesses but not many seem to cater to tourists. It is rather a lower class area.

The Xinbeitou MRT station is within a few minutes walk from the hotel. It takes 45 minutes to an hour to get to downtown Taipei. Quite convenient.
