Owner description: Jao Ho Street has become a secondary road and the business has also declined. Therefore, the government set up a night market in 1987. It is the second tourist night market in Taipei.

A really nice way to spend an evening in Taipei...awesome food and a pleasant atmosphere.

The whole roast pig is awesome.

I went to the night markets more for food than anything else. Shopping is not much there because of the size of the market, but if you like to try street food, you have to come here. The food quality is much better than Shilin Night Market. Enjoy eating! You must try the Lamb Skewers!

Very easily recognizable at the end of the road where a bright temple is located. The food in this market is different from the usual fried stuff of the other markets. More of barbecue here. Varieties is good here as well. And importantly I guess due to its location off the usual touristy places, not so crowded, so it's more kids friendly. All in all, works for me and my family.

Honestly, was a little disappointed after visiting it for myself. If your on for eating, its definitely the right place. Other that that shopping is expensive and wufenpu is definitely a better choice. I personally enjoyed shilin night market more, bigger market, more shops and better varieties.

There are a number of street markets. Raohe's focus is on food.

Shilin food stalls have gone to the basement and lost some lustre in my opinion. Raohe has kept to the tradition with push carts and stalls setup in the middle of the road. Raohe's prices and variety seems to be more than Shilin and is less crowded. It is a good place to sample food.
