The Maokong Mountain in Taipei is such a cool place to go to. I love the food that were present everywhere. I tried having the sausages and they were so yummy. I love also going on the gondola. The view from the mountains must not be taken for granted because it such an amazing place to be in. A place like the Maokon Mountain is one in a million. When you visit, don't forget to appreciate the tea houses in the area and the other delicacies that are being served.

Time is the secret to make the most of Maokong Mountain. Although the views from the Gondola are spectacular, the photographic opportunities from the last stop Maokong mountain are less so. Best to take the time to enjoy the local food delicacies on the street, have a cup of tea or coffee at the many teahouses, and take a leisurely walk around to the temples and around to the Zhinan Temple Station.

This Is a great place to visit, with stunning views of Taipei. At altitude, the air is decidedly cooler than in the heart of the city. The sausage and garlic sold by the street vendors is a delicious must get. Take a relaxing hike around the run of the ridge. It's beautiful and you get their having never left Taipei's public transit system, which is very cool indeed.

The views are nice and the gondola ride are fun. The top of the mountain is kinda dumpy, and maybe I was uninformed, but there wasn't much to do up there. Not my favorite, but the view is unique and the best in Taipei.

We went up to Maokong through the Gondola, from the Taipei zoo, and there was such a crowd at the Gondola station! As such, we decided not to take the diamond cabin (transparent ground) as it was of lower frequency (sadly, we wanted to badly to take it!). Upon reaching, we searched for a teahouse to settle in, and we decided on one that looked less sophisticated than the rest, yet more deeply cut into the mountain, and it was absolutely relaxing! It was the right choice! Service from the lady boss was good, and we got to watch her prepare the tea! And the view was beautiful; after sunset, it was freezing, yet an unique experience :)
