Owner description: At 509 meters high, this was the world's tallest building from 2004 to 2010, when the Burj Khalifa in Dubai surpassed it. The tower is reminiscent of a pagoda or a stalk of bamboo and designed to withstand typhoons and earthquakes common in Taiwan. Floors one through five are a shopping center and both the indoor (89th floor) and outdoor (91st floor) observation decks offer a 360-degree panoramic view.
Useful Information: Wheelchair access, Stairs / elevator, Bathroom facilities, Lockers / storage

This is just like any other tower landmark - beautiful and good view of taipei city but would have been more complete if it had a revolving restaurant.

…. then this is for you. It is an attractive bamboo shape. We waited in line for half an hour so for the superfast Guinness Book of Records elevator… there is a really tacky “photo opportunity” where you pose against fake day/night(with fireworks) backdrop. Most people watched their photos displayed on the screens then took photos of the photos with their phones! Some interesting engineering info but the main attraction seems to be a couple of floors of gift shops selling jade and coral.

Just like any other observation building, nothing special. The great part is the elevator that can take you to the top in less than a minute. If you never like this kind of building in any other country, don't bother with this one

Taipei 101, is a landmark skyscraper in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. It was the highest building in the world (508 metres) until 2010; now it's the third highest. It's name comes from the 101 floors in the building, five which are below ground. On the 89th floor are large viewing windows from which amazing photos of the city below can be taken. This building has the fastest elevator in the world, so a visitor can get to the 89th floor is just a few seconds. An amazing place to visit.

if you are intersted in tall building, it may be worth visting.
you can find this kind of tall building almost everywhere in the advanced countries.
nothing special for information.
i went there during the daytme, but it may be worth visiting after the sunsets when you can expect a spectacular night view.
