Love the fact that in Bei Tou you can get your private hotspring in your room. there are some hot springs that you can stay overnight. There is a public pool there too, I dont like it though, but there are just so many choice to choose from.... :)

Don't miss the Thermal Valley or called Hell Valley. The temperature of the hot spring is very high and therefore you can see steam every where. It is a total different experience.

Don't go on Monday. It will be closed.

If you want to dip your feet, you may either try the open air hot spring at Bei Tou Park (small fee will be collected) or in the open stream not so far down stream (this is free).

The hot spring museum and the Bei Tou library are also recommended.

Alighting from 新北投 station you will find directionthis huge place with lots of Hot Spring Hotels to choose from. Be careful though as some of these places store the hot spring, dilute them and add in powdered substance before allowing customers to soak in. Do some online reading and recommendations before starting. Overall this is a much to behold beautiful place to visit especially during the colder periods.

Just wanted to enjoy some hot spring & simply chill out a little, be away from the crowd and not be distracted by shopping. Beitou was just the right place to do that. The museums and library are just so quaint, not forgetting the friendly volunteers at each of these museums - so ever ready to fill you in with stories of the past. We most enjoyed soaking our feet in this stream that runs through the town. Everyone just spontaneously took off their shoes and enjoy the hot spring water. Another thing worth mentioning is we decided to pamper ourselves with a hair wash. Just pop in to this hair salon directly opposite the Aqua Bella hotel, a few doors away from 7-11, oh-wow ! They provide wonderful head massage when you have a hair wash for NT200. Got back to our hotel after that to enjoy the hot spring in the privacy of our room. Wow! Was so nice! Really love the 2 full days we spent here.
